Didn't know we had such events down here, until Flash Gumby called me last night if I wanted to go. Not the blowout like Mike sees in Austin, but some nice cars and apparently the venue changes monthly. This month the meet was at the Ragtop Motors location in West Palm Beach. As the name implies, they sell mostly verts, but they had a Ford Sedan Delivery and Woody for sale as well as some classic American cars.
I was going to pull my Healey out, but remembered that I threw a weight on the pass front and have a wicked vibration at 50+ so I left it at home as it was a 19 mile jog up the interstate.
Here are some pics I snapped:
First thing I noticed when we pulled in. The owner is a Porsche guy, and this is his hauler.
53 Fleetwood for sale 19K. Really nice. BTW my Great Uncle Gus worked for GM and did the tail lights on the 52-54 Caddies, so I have a sweet spot for them.
Blurry but nice Pontiac StarChief. From the placard in the windo only about 12xx units built vs. almost 7000 Nomads 1957 I think it was, or was that total run? Anyhoo, a real nice Survior condition 2-door Poncho.
Healey 100/6 for sale inside the building. Realistically prices at 45K
Healey 3000 Mk I (slightly bigger displacement vs. the 100/6) Nice Owner, this resto is 20 years old and still looks new (about 21K since frame off).
MMM Woody
54 Sedan Delivery
Nice Studebaker for sale, forgot how much
51 Merc Sedan with Suicide doors.
Notice the roof line on this Imapala Coupe, has ribs like a vert. Nice touch Detroit!
clean interior
67 Charger. I could have bought one of these in High school this clean for 1500 bucks. I regret it to this day.
65 or 66 my memory is fuzzy
Austin something, neither Flash or I have ever seen one. I liked it.
65 Skylark for 22K, Used in some Kevin Costner movie. It was clean low mile car.
Nice E-type coupe
Nice color combo on this Pony
Nice lil TR3
Didn't like the headlights on this dude's car, but look for the headlights on his girlfriend in one of the other pics. She's wearing a white top and the pics don't do the triple M cups she was sportin' justice
on the left
wait, on the right, lol
Cool Aston Martin
2002s were the shidizzile imports in the early 80s...
Represent the Italians! There was another silver Ferarri, but I missed a pic on that one
Flash Gumby's 69 MGC and his friend David's 60 MGA.
Flash has been spending his mod money under here lately with the triple SU setup.
Nice looking GT6 Triumph.
Pink Fiberglass, but it was still nice
TR6 with a TR250 stripe.
1st gen Midget
Bently, Owner was pretty cool dude.
Do want.
Flash Gumby heading home....
