| the car was interesting in that it had no rust in the usual places, but did have rust. There was a 6 inch rust hole under the tailgate on the drivers side (I saw it when I dropped the gate to read the SPID). The bottom of the passenger side fender well was rotted through (I'd tend to think that a battery leaked causing this as the rest of both fender wells had no rust through). The frame has some rust but not flaky (no where near as clean as Dusty which probably never left FL in it's 5 previous owners). Exhaust still pretty clean and minor rust visible on top of rad support. Couple spots of surface rust where paint chipped off. Blue limited interior very tired with tears in both front leather seats. Leather dried out everywhere, dashpad faded but not cracked. door panels loose. Carpet really dirty (it's a work car so rear seat down and tools and crap everywhere). Black rub strips attached via rusting dry wall screws.... We shall see what he wants when he's done with it at the end of the month. I gotta fever and the cure is more WAGON! | |
