| The first photo is an old station in Portland, Oregon. I remember seeing it as a kid. Googled it and it's still there although not as a fuel stop.

| Thanks for the link Tom. Scary part is that I remember when gas stations were like that . As for the corn ethanol thing, it has been around since the beginning, especially in the "corn belt". It's just that now, its use is being legislated. Bill | |

| The world was a much friendlier place back then.All we feared was the USSR and they feared us. People had manners and knew the real meaning of respect.Families ate together and tv had 3 channels and the news was on once a day.Going to stop now,getting depressed! |
