| I got a parts wagon friday afternoon, it's a 95 caprice, Ontario Car all it's life, it has many issues, rust in bad spots on the frame, floors and rear inner wheel wells, it's been repaired in the past, and the rust in the D pillars is up high near the roof, the bottoms look fine but bodo will do that. has a bad transmission, high millage, needs exhaust, needs brakes and there's a gremlin in the engine's electrical.... the good being a Ontario car is that all the interior plastics are in great condition and don't break when you take em off the car. the previous owner was a bit like texas mike when it came to keeping the car clean. I'm pulling all the parts that I need for my 95, and many others that will go into my parts stash. the engine and all the body panels have been spoken for. it's light blue with charcoal, with a light blue interior. it's a shame, but we can't save all of em.....and some have to be parted out so better ones can carry on. two hours later

| Looks good on the surface but a lot of us here know what these cars can be hiding. How much for the front dash bezel? | |

How much for the front dash bezel? 100% of the dash is going into my wagon sorry. as for what I'm taking out of my wagon, you don't want, it's just to brittle, warpped and broken.

Yes Jim the the sun was brutal on my 95, it never seen the inside of a garage in southern georgia, even the roof rack has sun damage! so in theory you take a southern car for the rust free sheet metal and then you get a northern car for the good plastic, interior parts and you make one nice clean car.....

that's what rust does to a car..... the rear wheel wells are like swiss cheese and there's no floor under the back seat

| My brother has all the name brand versions of that tool and the adapter that allows you to use the cheaper blades with them. The orange machine by fein are suppose to be the best. Dont know if its the best,he has 4 of those alone but they do work well if you can afford the blades it uses.Made taking the side glass out a lot easier didnt it? |

Nice work on getting those out of there! short answer is yes you can but you also have to swap the interior c pillar trim and possibly the upper seatbelt mount

| Do you just run that vibrating tool along the inside of the windows? When I paint my Roady wagon I want to take those out to get a very clean job. Did it in any way damage the window rubber attached to the glass? | |

| Is your inside trim on the tail gate really good? I'm looking for a tan one, but I might consider painting one if I can find a really nice one. | |

it's an ocillating saw, and you have to use it and control it well to cut through the urethane that bonds the window's rubber to the metal frame. the rubber is fine. the window frame would have to be cleaned up some more if this wagon was going to be more than parts.

Like I said before all the interior parts from this wagon are being reused in my 95 wagon that came out of southern georgia where it was never garages or protected from the sun.

| you would think that after what?...70 years of salting roads? they would come up with something non-corrosive to put on the roads. now pa is spraying salt water on the roads rather than just salt.....its like they are trying to rust them out! | |

| I won but I had to cut off the bottom of the rear frame horns to get the hitch off, why would anyone think it's a good idea to weld the hitch to the frame!
I also took the last of the trim off the doors, so this wagon will be leaving here in the next day or so. Moving on to it's next life. sadly as as an eduro racer, lots of left turns in it's future.
