mike the g body sedans are the 78-80 malibu and lemans/grand am only
with the rear vents in the C pillars, the power motors are in the trunk under the parcel shelf

the majority of these cars had manual windows, so power ones are rare





non of the g body sedans you showed would have the right power vent units

What about wagons? I swear I've seen power window switches on G-wagons, for the door vents.

nope only those sedans had the right system. the wagons had em in the doors and they pivot on a shaft.
the sedans have the vent in the c pillar and they open and close by being pushed opened and pulled shut by a small rod attatched to a steel cable that is wound and unwound by the motor that is mounted in the trunk area

GM thought about it. In the Owners manual for my '93 wagon it clearly shows the rear wiper switch with a power vent window switch as well.

it had a small fire in the fuse panel in july 2010, took me a while to find a whole harness to replace it got it out of a parts car from Derek in the fall of 2011, then I got hurt in the accident that killed my white 91 woody so that took out most of 2012, hope to tear into it this spring and summer once I'm done with the mods to my 95.

if they're newer ones (mid 90s onward), it wont hurt the value (well it will, but 98% of the cars from that period are worth 25-50 cents carded or not). From the early 90s back, it will cut the value in half, at a minimum.

I also approve of the wall of hot wheels (have over 1200 myself ranging from redlines to some newer stuff)

Thanks, working on the back seats right now, they are less complicated but still a challenge.

actually very few hotwheels, most are JL, and all are either wagons or cadillacs or combinations there off. the only exception are a few aussie XB faclons , and one pacer

my new cloth third row seat, the seat bottom isn't finished yet and the head rests belong to the front seats and are not part of the third row seat

Love what you did with the front seats. That triangle arrow pattern thing in the 94-on caprice seats looks awful to me. Looks about as 90s and purple and teal. Great work there sir.

Looking good. Curious if you did the upholstery work yourself or just doing the install. I don't have the skill or equipment to sew so I brought the materials and a pattern to my upholstery guy then do the install (or have him do it) when I did my third seats over.

I'm doing all the work myself, keeps me busy and out of the cold garage this time of year.

Wow! Even more impressed. Household sewing machine or professional deal? My wife can't sew much so she is no help to me in this department...lol.

Keep up the pace.

I'm just using a household sewing machine, so that get's me through about 70% of the work, the other 30% I do by hand the old fashion way. I'm looking for a decent used commercial sewing machine.

just to remind you what the front passenger corner of this wagon looked like back in january 2012 when Robert first picked it up for me.



it had been hit fairly hard, then the previous owner parked it in her laneway. the Battery got damaged in the accident and had a little leak. so it sat for the better part of a year with battery acid pooling on the battery tray, inner fender and portions of the rad support.

By the time I got it home last year the battery tray was so bad I had to bungee cord the battery in place.....



I'm going to need a new inner fender.....

I have a pair of mint inner fenders if you need them.

the seats did come out nice, they are firm and very supportive and much nicer than the monte carlo buckets. Not to mention how the seats were last year when I drove it home from daytona.

Green tint Saweeet! Hard to tell from pix but is it light?

Pontiac would have made it a 6 speed!!

it's only a 50% tint so it's light

cleaned up and dyed to match the interior
