Hi !
Have had my adorable, in ridiculous good condition, super low mileage 1990 Olds Custom Cruiser for about a year and a half. I love it to death !!! EVERY single day I go out, I'm either asked if I want to sell it , am honked at, thumbs upped at or it's admired. It is comedy on wheels. Everyone is super nostalgic about it. haha It's white , with woody ( glorified contact paper ) .

My elderly Civic had died, organ failure , and I'd just gotten the mid-life crisis car the year before ( 2005 Honda S2000 - yellow ) ...so , needed a winter car. Always wanted a big retro station wagon ( had to have ' way-back ' seats ) ....and I pulled it off !!!

Bought it off of EBAY , via the Station Wagon Forum site, is how I found it. Brother in law won it for me, and I picked it up in tony Greenwich, CT...and drove it home thru PA. Reconnected some hoses, got worn brakes fixed last spring, changed the EGR myself. May look into a carburetor check up soon, just due to acceleration minor issues. Tires are good , but may need new end of the year. The interior is MINT. Dark blue, ...some cosmetics I hope to fix over time on the body, but wow'd the guys at AutoZone with the condition , esp of the engine and underbody. I wash it CONSTANTLY, trying to keep it nice, as it's my daily driver now. As soon as I figure out how to put on photos. I will. Smile I actually think if you type in " station wagon images into Google... you will see it.

Recently my vanity mirror on drivers side , light, stopped working, seemed like a short at first, because I'd move the/ open the visor and it would sometimes go off and on. Stays off now. No other obvious electrical issus. Advice ? Easy bulb to change ? Just changed the one front headlight...was not hard at all....except had to take alot of the framing off and luckily found my ONE star driver !! haha Wink

Am also curious about avail. of parts and molding etc. Things you would know much more about. Rolling Eyes

Look forward to checking in !!

P.S. I'm a girl...by the way...and would like to maybe go to the Wagon Fest I saw advertised in the Hemmings mag.
Would be my first car meet , ever. cheers

Welcome to the Wagonsite! We have a growing community of that year / style of wagons. We refer to them as "Boxies".

One thing though, we need and like pictures of your wagon.

I know......I have lots on the Station Wagon Forum. com....but although mostly computer savvy...I SUCK at posting photos. lol Will attempt soon.

Yeah, when I got the wagon , read up alot on B -body wagons and how the shape got different just one year later. I love the ol school square shape.!! I LOVE that it's different from everything out there. There are not many old wagons by me , and the ones I DO see....don't even wave. Losers. Mad

I'll hafta try and go to that meet. Would be fun to meet other wagon lovers. I love you

Lorkav,

Welcome to the Forum. Hope that you find some good Mods for your 1990 Olds Custom Cruiser. As far as simple thing you can do to get it to run better, Change all of the fluids. Then do a tuneup, Cap Wires Plugs fuel and air Filters. Your engine is fuel injected, so I would run some Sea Foam through the system. With the Sea Foam follow the directions on the can.. There are a lot of simple mods that you can do yourself and have some fun Too..

Look forward to SSeeing photos of your OCC..

Welcome aboard. You aren't the only wagon owner (my wife drives one and there are a couple of lady's I've met).

Posting pics is easy, just follow the directions in the link Tom posted.

Welcome to wagon madness! Good to see some female fans participating too. Wagons seem to get rarer by the day and a girl who digs wagons must be one in a million. Cool

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your pics.

I had a white '89 Custom Cruiser that I refurbished and regret selling. Other than the slooow Olds 307 engine I loved that car.

See link here for pics of mine: https://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t1796-custom-cruiser-before-and-after?highlight=custom+cruiser+before++%2Bafter

Again hope to see pics of yours soon!
