Hello everyone!

I was just looking around for various wagon sites, and found this one. It's great to see so many other wagons out here! I own two classic Longroofs: 1964 & 1965 Chevelle two-door wagons.

All the best,

Thanks a lot for your nice welcome, Andebe, I appreciate it! I agree... I enjoy all wagons, but the Chevelles are some of my favorites as well. My first car was a 1964 Chevelle 300, four-door wagon (factory 283 & M-21). I've really enjoyed the look of the Chevelle two-door wagons, ever since I saw my first one. I then began "Hunting" for one! The same designer of the '55-'57 Nomads carried over his design cues into the new Chevelle for 1964.

It is somewhat strange to me, to see how they've become so very popular over the years... When I bought my first one, many of my friends teased me and wondered WHY a wagon(?!). Also, there were many people who'd never seen one. It was thought I'd either welded on a wagon top onto an El Camino, or welded-up the third and fourth doors. I even had a guy once in a gas station, ask where I made the welds and got the slider-windows from? He was in a '56 Nomad! He had no idea that our wagons were designed by the same guy! It's gone from obscurity and unknown, to people knowing exactly what they are. I've now helped a few of my buddies who used to razz me about driving a "Grandma's Grocery Getter", into wagons of their own! Wink
