| I need some good clean exhaust manifolds if any body has some laying around, mine are all rusted and nasty looking... and some valve covers too. | |

| I can get a set for you. I do not know how much off hand. I will check later this evening. They are on a 92 RMS with 66K on the clock. | |

| J - I have a sandblaster and it would do the trick, but I want a nice clean set of manifolds so they aren't all pitted. OCD I guess. | |

| If fred is not able to get a set, I have a pair from a 93, good shape, but I would have to send pics to make sure they pass the OCD test!
If you want to take a trip to ct and buy my interior, or any other parts I will grow them in, I need to clean out the garage, wife is getting tired of parking outside! You could always take them to wagonfest and make some coin?

| Thanks to Cadet57,... I now have a new exhaust manifold for the passengers side! Thanks Justin. I only need a good clean driver side now. So Fred if you find a good clean driver side that would be great. | |

| If you install the headers, you need either heats shield for the plugs, or you need to wrap the headers. You can get the heat shields from a number of LT1s at the junk yard (3 per engine) if you decide to go that way, or use covers at about $30 for 8 at the parts store. The wrap is about $50 for enough to do the shorties. The side benefit of wrapping the headers is that you can work near hot headers with the wrap and not burn yourself if you accidentally touch them. Your wiring will also thank you for wrapping the headers. Some will say that the wrap will cause rust, but headers rust, and you can replace headers a lot cheaper than the wiring in the engine compartment.
If you install duals (recommended with headers), there are a few wires and such at the pivot for the trans actuator shaft and the frame, that you should reroute to keep them away from the heat of the exhaust. The brake lines come close to the headers at the frame as well, so a heat shield, or header wrap is important there as well. For headers, locate the O2 bung at the front of the collector. Anywhere else can cause interference or wiring issues.
