| they are a quality product. Your 9C1 bar will not / NOT bolt up to them. | |

| I have a set of alum.lower control arms that the 9C1 sway bar will bolt up to. If you want the info I will need a little time to dig it up. ed | |

| I know that Metco makes a aluminum set that allows you to bolt on a factory sway bar! |

| quick question. I've noticed normal length and extended length bars for centering the wheel in the housing better. Which does the wagon use?

I believe that set has a set of holes up closer the the front of the arms. That is the same as the set up I built for mine from stock arms. It worked fine, but not as well as a bar in the correct position or the Ford "Panther" bar.

| The extended arms to center the wheels in the wheel openings are for the Caprice sedans, because GM did not plan it really well when they made the openings. The wagons do not need any centering. | |

Hah. GM did that intentionally, because they reused the 77-90 undercarriage. Every change costs money, and most of the intended market woudn't care about 3/4". Yes, extended length control arms are aftermarket only, and keep an eye on your driveshaft yoke if you do put these on. Sedan swaybars don't mount to the lower control arms on the wagons because the wagon control arm mounting points are farther outboard than the sedans. Metco came up with a nifty idea of moving the mounting holes forward on the control arms so the sedan bar would fit, but you lose moment arm doing this so the swaybar won't have as much effect as it would on a sedan. Personally the Crown Vic swaybar setup is a better setup for safety, weight, performance, and other reasons, in my personal opinion. GM didn't do that only because it would require ANOTHER undercarriage change (although the diagonal braces are really conveniently placed!).

| So , What GM screwed up on was in designing the body 3/4' too long!

| I use uppers and lowers from Hotchkiss on the 93 Caprice wagon, together with a Hotchkiss sway bar. I ordered them for the wagon from the Hotchkiss web site. A really good improvement in the rear. Pete | |
