| While at work waiting for paint to dry called our ford parts supplier to check on a rear swaybar for my wagon. Gave him the part number he paused and then laughed and said our cost was $1200! He asked what it was for, and said that that's the best he can do on the price, and he could have it in a day or two. Any other ideas where to find one eBay has them for $800-$900 but that's still way to expensive. For that I can go all hotchkis bars, so anybody know of a cheap alternative, or have one to sell? | |

| Well, I didn't help. Lol...sorry. I'm not running this bar. I am running a 9C1 / SS front bar and a wagon specific 1-5/16" rear bar. (bought it from Bill Harper HERE ) I've also ran the Hotchkis setup as well...but if you really can't find the 21mm rear Ford bar you are after...I think you will be very happy with the setup I'm using right now (and a lot cheaper) OR, someone else will chime in who runs a 15 or 17mm Ford rear bar and give some good advice on it! | Hah, $1200 for the 21mm bar? You sure they looked it up right, I've bought a few Ford sway bars brand new from the dealer and they were all about $60 - $100. I got a 17.8 (or so)mm bar off a '96 TownCar from a local yard for $5 or $10 for my Roadmaster and I love it. I'm sure a bigger bar would be an improvement, but I've been lookin' for one for a while now with no luck. | |

| Unfortunately the 21mm bar is discontinued and that is "the going rate" now, not that anyone wants it bad enough to pay it. I bought mine not 2 years ago for $60 off ebay, wish I had bought another for my Caprice. I found one site a couple months ago claiming to have it for around $60, but the checkout system was sketchy (and not secure). | |

| Wow. Looks like I need to hit up all the yards in the area. Sway bars are 15 bucks.
They fit fine and the handling is much improved. | |

| i know the early 70s impalas are not easy to find but the rear sway bar from one of those will fit you will need 4 spacers 1/2 '' thick to lower it or it will hit the pumkin. the spacers i am going to use have a hole 3/8 for the hardware and i am welding them to the sway bar. the sway bar is 1/2 hardware. my aftermarket rear control arms are drilled and sleeved for 3/8 that is why i am using the 3/8 spacers. i dont know if u can mod the factory arms to use the 1/2 hardware | |

| Thats a great price for any adco sway bar and its 1"/25.4mm diameter which makes it very stiff maybe too stiff compared to the factory swaybars. |

| It's only little bit bigger than a factory bar, and still smaller than the 1 5/16" bar navy lifer used to sell so looks to be a good alternative. Going to the JY today to see what goodies I can find. | |
