| Newbie RMW owner. I have the tow package, but I'm assuming the rear stabalizer bar was an option? Don't see it near my rear axle. Thanks | |

| There was no rear bar avail for the wagon. Tow package was just HD cooling for the oil and trans, along with a 2:93 posi gear out back instead of the peg leg 2:56.
There are aftermarket bars out there that will fit (sedan with modifications) Ford Panther bars, and some expensive Hotchkis bars to name a few.

| So if your wagon has posi, it has the tow package? How much is it good for? |

| If your wagon has posi (G80 code) you have the tow package.
However, if you have the tow package (V92 I think) you don't necessarily have posi. Limited slip rear was optional on top of the tow package.
This is for the LT1 cars. I THINK the same is true with the TBI cars.

| Hmm... I've got a '92.
Running the VIN it says it has the heavy duty coling and the G80 posi. So I guess that's a good indicator.
Too bad it's not as clear cut as on the Fleetwoods - one RPO to tell you. |

| On the TBI cars you still have the G80, as you said for the posi. I don't think the V92 code was used on the TBI cars at all.
For the gears though you have GU2 and GU5. GU5 was the 'tow pack' rear with 3.23 gears. GU2 was the standard rear, I want to say 2.56 but I'm not 100% on that.

| Mine has the 3.23 rear, and air suspension.
Also something else; F40 which is Heavy Duty suspension, from what I gather. There's also V92, which from what I can find is "Trailer provisions". |

| Ah, so there is a V92 then. I stand corrected. I've seen F40 on most of the wagons. I'm not sure what that includes, whether it's springs or other stuff. | |

| Thanks for your quick reply regarding the missing rear stabilzer. Now to worry about lower timing cover oil leak, plus rear main! LOL | |
