That Florida donor wagon, got me to meet Fred for the first time. He bought it in Hollywood, FL with 40K on it and it had a miss, he was in town for a conference and I bought a set of spark plug wires and met him at his hotel, where we put the replacement one on. It didn't fix the issue and later it turned out to be a fuel injector I think.

We went to dinner and talked wagons, lol. He showed me how to tell it was really a 40K car and lots of other good info. I remember when it got hit I was bummed as it was so clean when I saw it....glad to see she's still giving back to the community

Ok so this is the pix's of some more of the work I completed over the past few days.

Primed roof yesterday and did final body work to roof areas today just haven't taken pix's yet will do that in a little while.

just a thought,. would it have been easier to fix the 40 K gold car?

That car is rustier than it looks plus the bent frame is a draw back.

Took these this morning. The rear tailgate and driver side door jamb will be painted today.

we need more pictures - this is better than porn (or is this considered bodywork & paint porn?)

sadly no updates worth posting just lots of sanding and priming to get the body a little bit straighter. Also humidity is not a friend of painters. Hoping by next Friday there is paint on most of it.

Well I have to admit finishing this baby before WF is not likely. But I will try like hell. I find myself spending to much time on areas that the untrained probably won't see, but I do. If nothing else I will proud of this one as well.

Thanks, I had to do another set back, my worker decided to remove all the body work I already had done to the hood while I wasn't looking. I'm taking some time off from this beast due to the 1 step forward 2 step back issues I've been having. This will not make WF.

But I will guarantee this will be one amazing wagon when done.

Oh today I started it up and it ran for about 30 seconds then shut off and now won't start. Didn't look into yet.

Amazing work, thats all I have to say. Frankly, I would have billed the woman who backed into the tailgate for all the time you had put into it due to her damage.

Found out 2 days later that she was found in a ditch naked trying to hide from fireflies. I think she is a few card shy of a full deck. She ended up in the psych center.

So she may or may not be unstable so she gets a pardon on this one.

Oh wow, I have to deal with people like that in my line of work all the time.  I'm surprised at some of the people out there who need help that aren't getting it.

Dave your a card! Wagon Porn aside...In all seriousness I hope everything is OK with Jarrod.

He sent me a pic of my wagon once he got it home. I believe he is taking a break from the net and such for a while.

Any progress since the last pictures were posted? Everyone including myself would love to see how the cars progressing.

FYI: I will be back on this project in full force starting next week, from start to finish. I have officially closed my shop. No more Sign, Phone, or Hours of operation listed anywhere. So that means this project will be moving forward until done. I'll update this thread once a week. Probably on Friday's.

As a one man band I get pulled in so many directions and it's hard to get everything done in the time I've allowed myself. My 4 kids trump everything I don't care if your offering me the deal of a lifetime my kids come first. I've always been a family man and always will be. Life for me is constantly putting in countless hours of work that nobody ever see's.. but myself. This is by far the biggest reason I have closed my shop. Very few appreciate the extra time and effort I put into these jobs. So once I have completed all the projects that are lingering at my shop, I will start doing only vehicles for myself. It'll make my life less stressful.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday or however you celebrate it, may you be safe and healthy for a long time to come.

Looking forward to seeing the weekly progress pictures and ultimately bringing the Wagon home.

WE all appreciate your talents,. and this orange wagon has gotten more interest from folks than any other car i,ve owned,. including my 69 SS/RS L78 4spd camaro (which was hugger orange by the way)

I'll post up progress pix's tomorrow. Finally got the Door lines on this baby looking really nice. My OCD made sure that they were to my liking. I feel good about how everything lines up now. LOL

Today I will be cleaning off all the glue from the Crash wrap I had on the car while it sat outside. Hoping to get roof painted this week along with original hood and maybe,.. Cowl hood too. This week should have some big changes. Then next week lots of final prep for final finish. Then the task of putting it all back together.

Ok so here's a few shots of what she looks like as of today. Here's a shot of the passenger side with paint on what you see. This baby is going to be very nice. Wish it was black because this baby would look amazing. Nice reflection and smooth surface.







Been working on the hood and I thought it was finished until I mounted it this morning. As you can see from the pix's the area's circled in RED are the areas that are eye sores to me. The ones circled in black are how it's suppose to look. Had to shim the hood up at the hinges to make the back part of the hood line up to the fender edges. Then when I adjusted the hood latch and got the hood to close I noticed the front edge of the hood lined up great but the hood sags in the middle (red circles)

The hours that went into the doors alone is enough to give you a headache. Body work wise. Same goes for rest of car. Paint work is the easy part.

Hood is going to be job the rest of the week and beyond. Yup and beyond,.. until I make myself happy.
