My 1995 RMW has been cutting out while driving down the road and even died on me at an intersection. Runs great then SLUG it lags out and then picks back up. Any ideas? Thanks.

check your idle air valve. they get crudded up and don't react fast enough for the pcm to control idle rpm. throttle body cleaner into the cavity and onto the shaft. Otherwise cam or crankshaft position sensors, alternator or battery voltage too low can do that too. Good luck.

Also check the connector to the temperature sensor--the one on the lower left side of the water pump. Remove the electrical connector, inspect it for corrosion or "loose fit". No signal (or intermittent) from this sensor will cause a rich condition, often causing stalling at idle, or low engine speeds.

Check the ground by the ignition coil too. A bad connection there causes all sorts of weird problems.

It could the battery post.  This was a problem on 1994 models and many of the early 1995 models based on the VIN #, the battery post that is in your vehicle, based on the information for this problem in the Tech Bulletin.  If the battery post located on your firewall passenger side is partially melted a new battery post / nut may the solution to your problem.

Had kind of same issue with my 94lt1,check the little harness going to the opti spark. The insulation on the wires became brittle and was shorting out. I put some rtv silicone after splitting the wires apart and haven't had any problems after.
