Flasher module question Empty
PostSubject: Flasher module question   Flasher module question Icon_minitimeSun Jun 17, 2018 12:38 am

To match my headlights and backup lights, I'm considering upgrading the turn signals and brake lights to Sylvania Zevos or some other brand of LEDs. Does anyone know of a good LED flasher module to get so they don't hyperflash? Or would I not run into this issue if I just poped them in.

They do not hyper flash, they do not flash at all. If the LED has a built in resistor to trigger the flasher relay they will work without modification, but you are defeating the intent of the LED replacement. NAPA has flashers that will work with LEDs.

If you change the front to LEDs they will always light the turn signal indicator. They work fine with the correct flasher, it's just an annoyance. I went back to incandescent in the front.

Your hazard lights have the same issues.

I have never seen an LED light go in a turn signal socket that didn't flash. Every one I have ever used, Sylvania, Phillips, Chinese eBay bulbs, all hyperflash.

Harrisons, these cars use what's called/known as a 552 flasher. Here is an LED-compatible unit (good for your 93 or 96, since you didn't specify which wagon):
