Does anyone have the electric motor to the lumbar support that are fitted to my 1996 Buick Roadmaster Wagon ?
Let's see if this link works : http://picasaweb.google.se/lh/photo/OcTfEqZ9jPAfApxIIPKFeg?feat=directlink
I've learned so far that these electric motor-driven lumbar supports are kind of rare and are no longer available from GM.
But my local GM wizard have located a company in the US that have a few new ones but.......oh dear, how expensive affraid
( we're talking + 600 USD plus shipping and possibly customs fee, etc..... )

Any help here appreciated !!!
I need the passenger side ( if there is a difference ) but if the price is right I'll buy both.

Still no luck with the motor.....
Thought I'd give you guys another try now that I've finally located the part number, in case someone have this part lying around.
If you look at no 24 at this drawing, that's just what I need !

http://www.gmpartsgiant.com/components/1996-buick-roadmaster~seat-asm-front-4b140130114-l27md84bt69.html

And the parts no is 12527742, and as far as I can understand this lumbar support was also used in some Cadillacs from 1995-96.

Have a great weekend !

Ouch, that's a pretty high price! Those are quite hard to find. I have ONE which I got to fix my seat so I'm afraid it's not available.

I'll certainly keep my eyes out if I come across a Limited car.

Hi Håkan

Don't buy one for $600; watch the "Part for sale" here and try these other sites: Roadmaster site http://www.buickforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22 and the Impala site: http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/

Guys have them, guaranteed! If you find one and they don't want to ship to Sweden, you can have them ship to me and I will send it to you.

I won't tell you what I threw away about 2 years ago. Most of us guys are "packrats".

There might be one at my local JY. There is a '96 with the limited seats, i'll check if it has lumbar. No idea if the motor works however as the car has no battery.

If it's a Limited, it's got the power lumbar. Wink

Oh, also. Any 94-96 Fleetwood will have the same lumbar parts. Possibly 93 too but I'm not certain of that.
