| I thought I had seen it posted on here, even recently, but I can't find it... Anyone know which color code or part number it is for the SEM spray can that matches the Buick Ruby Red?
TIA! | |

| The red you just gave is different than my TBI red, right? Any insight on that one? |

| On it. Cause I grabbed that blue Blazer console over the summer... it's just begging to go in the wagon. |

Thats what i'm saying with my Riv console. I now have 9C1 vinyl buckets that I need to SEM too, so thankfully I don't need to cut my bench.

If you were closer, id say come to my local JY and pull the ruby passenger cloth seat out of the '93 Caprice here. Thing is super clean. Saves you from having to cut your seat.

| Called and its a custom-blended color not pre-sold in aresol rattle-cans. $13.95....with $12 shipping....ouch. Ordered anyway, planning to paint that tan door panel trim for around the door handles. I've given up on finding red, and since I'm about to pull the panals to fix the cracks, I don't want to put broken trim back on.
Such fun!

| I should have mentioned they sold me a prep solution and a soap as part of the process. I always used that (whether it was necessary, I don't know) have had great results. It is expensive no doubt; but it is not Krylon.

Tom I'm going to use alcohol to clean the parts I think.

Tom I'm going to use alcohol to clean the parts I think. use scotch pads and dawn dish detergent,.use the alcohol last,. alcohol evaporates too quickly and leaves residue behind,. you need strong detergent flushed with lots of water,. lots of scrubbing with the scotch pads,.then awipe down with alcohol if you want,.but i prefer mineral spirits,.i did all the 96 impala stuff in the front of the black wagon,.console seats steering column etc,. and re-did all the rear plastic parts in the back,.i used 3 qts of 4791 all together,. not cheap either,. | I just want to do the door panel trim around the door handles, and possibly the vinyl parts of my steering wheel. Hope I don't need 3qts to do that! ; )

| Huh? Not sure what you are talking about. 94 to 96, are SEM #4791 Ruby Red, 91 to 93 are an entirely different color.

| Well SUPER. That was $25 well spent.
I have the can on my workbench. Was planning to paint the door trim soon.
SO anyone have any idea what color I did need?

That's ridiculous. |

| I just bought some about 3 months ago for $13 per can + shipping. That is a pretty steep price hike. | |

| They don't show the number I need listed there. It's $11.26 for current colors, and an extortion-worthy $29.95 for custom mixes. |

| Sting, custom mixes will always cost more. Vinyl pro only went up a couple bucks on the custom mixes since I paid $56 for 3 cans | |

Need a better job... lol It is but at the same time its not. It's a lot when you're a broke college kid (I share the pain, trust me) but when you consider its matched by the person and custom filled and blended. It doesnt seem so bad. Once you have a properly matched batch you'll appreciate it.
