LED Brake Lights Empty
PostSubject: LED Brake Lights   LED Brake Lights Icon_minitimeSun Mar 07, 2010 7:10 pm

Well, I've had these strip LED lights sitting on my desk all winter. We finally got a nice weekend so I spent it outside taking care of lots of little things.

So the third brake light on BlueTwo has been giving me grief all winter. Phase one is to replace it with strip lighting like what Pat did on his 93.

I ordered two 3' strips from these folks:

They are completely sealed so no worries about moisture getting inside the circuitry.

Wiring into the tailgate. I tapped into the wires on the plungers.

Installed, with the window down. You can just see the little specks below the glass.

Lit up in the daylight.

and at night. Sorry for the blurriness.

Not quite as bright as I was hoping for in the day but works pretty well.
