third brake light/ high mount brake light

not sure if my 94 RMW is just wonky, or someone used a bulb socket from another car that fit, or all the part places say the wrong bulb.

But I'm trying to find replacement bulbs for the third brake light, the one that's on the lift glass, the one on my car has twin 577 bulbs, which look like fat buss fuses, just wondering if anyone else has those bulbs on their cars and also what equivalent bulbs can be used in their place

Those are the correct bulbs. If the LED bulbs do not light up, swap the ends. They are direction specific.
