| My '93 Roadmaster Estate as a very crummy aftermarket cassette tape player, and I'm looking for a stock one. Which years of GM radios would fit and look the best. Would a 91-94 buick radio look better, or would a 95-99 buick radio look better. I think most buicks share the same radio. | |

| This is the one I used on my 94 RMW, which has the same radio as yours. GM used it for many years, well into the 90's and beyond. Tom | |

| It's a two DIN space, so you can advance to something with a touch screen on it.
( Edit: this ahs been pointed out as incorrect in later posts. It's a 1.5 DIN space. Sorry for any confusion on the issue... Dave )

| Not a two DIN. It's 1.5 DIN, as Tom posted above. That one he posted is 95+, but will fit in 93 and earlier by using the early mounting bracket with a little trimming. For period correct aftermarket, I like the old Pioneer DEH-47/77: | |

| Wow. We had that same radio in my mom's Buick Park Ave, Jason.
A good unit. Definitely period correct. Nice idea. |

| You can also get the one Tom listed from an ebay seller (I dont' know his name) who mods them by installing a "line in" jack right on the front. Quite handy and I'm pretty sure a forum member or two have installed it. | |

Is this model still available new or is it strictly a used only? |

I have a DEH-P77-DH in both of my cars. I put a 1/8 inch rubber washer under the radio on the plastic tray to center it in the opening. I had to get a longer screw to hold it to the tray. They are nice radios, and can be found on ebay occasionally. I paid about $65 each for mine (I snipe on ebay). They make an electronic tuning version that looks almost the same. I got a couple of extra face plates in case mine are ever stolen. I have had an electornic faceplate malfunction, and got a replacement for it, then I decided to go with the manual knob version. You need an adapter connector set to hook it up, and a GM to standard antenna patch cable. Minimal effort for a nice radio that fits the opening perfectly. Be careful, some of them for sale on ebay have broken filler panels around the face. I saw these for sale new when I bought mine a couple years ago for $450. There is a DEH-50-DH with AUX input that should work and is a 1.5 DIN on ebay:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-DEH-50DH-w-AUX-input-for-1995-2002-GM-Chevy-Full-Size-Truck-Plug-Play-/191107197689?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item2c7ee06af9&vxp=mtr

| Further info: any Pioneer with a "p" in the title (like that DEH P77 that I posted can accept a variety of add on accessories, including iPod control, AUX in, CD changer, Satellite radio, or Bluetooth. I use an adapter for ipod and a CD changer in my SS along with my P77. Yes, it controls the ipod. | |

| Thanks for the help guys. I am for sure sorting out the radio. Its one of the cheapest jobs I could do to start. I am most likeley to find one like the Delco one, I have a adapter that plugs into the cig lighter, so thats how I could play my music. Its mostly the Factory look I like. But the DEH radios look tempting. | |
