Dorman Reman OEM radios for '95-up Chevies

I'm not endorsing this, but just wanted to make you aware of it as an option (and I'm glad Dorman went to the trouble of doing this for Chevy owners):

FYI - if you have a '95-up Caprice or Impala SS, Dorman is now selling reman'd Delco CD players with a built-in Aux jack.

Part number is 586022, it is not listed in the Caprice and Impala sections of the parts database but I'm sure it'd work.

The catch:
The radio is $145 + shipping, and a $100 core. So you need to go to a junkyard and get one, or send in yours. Not a deal-breaker, but FYI.

Sounds like a pretty good way of keeping the factory look but being able to use your mp3 or I pod .

There is a guy on Ebay that installs jacks into your radio. We had it done for my son's Vibe. He did a nice job and it was a LOT less $$. Also replaced some bulbs and cleaned it up bit.

If you do a search for "dorman 586022" on Amazon...they have it for $176.83 shipped (and no core)

I ended up buying mine from Delcoman on E-bay.  $166.50 shipped. (Fully remanufactured /aux input)
