Hotel Info for Mid Atlantic WF--Hampton Inn

As Mike and others have mentioned, it will be peak fall foliage season at the end of Oct = expensive rooms.  What I, and others, have found is up to $140 for a decent hotel.  Last time Mike hosted WF, The Hampton Inn in Front Royal was full.  So,I stayed at a Hampton Inn Winchester-University/Mall Area.  I was very satisfied (and some times that takes a lot).  They had great rooms, excellent breakfast and good staff.  It is right off of I-81, real convenient.  If I remember correctly, it is about 20 minutes to Front Royal.....easy ride.

So, I finally got in touch with someone that could help.  I asked for a group rate for 5 to 10 rooms, that can be expanded if necessary.  The rate is $89, I don't think you can beat that for what you are getting.  Before I can move ahead on this, I need atleast 4 more people to get that rate.

If your interested, post your name and once I get the minimum number of rooms, I will contact them.

Please don't clutter this up, if you have other ideas that's fine, but post it someplace else.

I'm not able to get a solid answer until Saturday but I'm liking the rates. Will need two rooms if we stay here, since it'll be Misty and the boys and I and my parents in the other one.

Just got off of the phone with Hampton, we are locked in for 10 (2 queens) rooms, they can expand that as necessary......$89 plus tax.  If you want a King size bed, let them know.

The 5 other guys that are registered, need to call in and give them your info as soon as possible.  It is Hampton Inn Winchester-University/Mall Area, phone #1-540-667-8011.

When you call mention Tom Cummings & Wagon Group.  

If anyone else needs a room call directly and mention my name and  group, but if you could post, I would appreciate it.  That way I will be able to expand the number of rooms as necessary.

Also, when you call and you mention the group rate they have it automatically set up for staying fri and sat night so if you do need additional or fewer nights, let them know as it will default to booking you for the two nights.

But it was really easy to book, took maybe 5 minutes.

Including local tax, two nights was $198.11, Normal rate with tax would have been over $300.00,

... so THANK YOU TOM!

Nice lady on the phone,. she said nightly rate was $189.00,.but that "Tom" from the wagon group was picking up the difference,.

It will be just me for dinner. My kids have dance, and my parents think I deserve a night or two away. The only way that changes is if I somehow find a date!

Just a heads-up if I didn't post it earlier, a big thanks to Tom!    We are booked in two rooms at the Hampton in Winchester for Fri and Sat nights.   Looking forward to seeing everyone!

NICE! I apologize that I should have considered that in years past.

No apologizing necessary, you do enough.

Everyone likes the Microtel, but it has slipped to a Motel 6 at best. I think their prices for next year will be in the $130 + neighborhood, that's with an advance reservation.

Anyways, I have them in my sites.

Tom I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Waterloo, directly across from the Micro, and Holiday inn. Was VERY pleased. I too thought about a group rate there for next year.

I'm going to check them all.

I can't afford gas and booze ,... kids drink heavy,...

cdn exchange rate is up to 10% again,..

its works out $2.00 a night more for us to stay in strasburg,.

just need to check with the hotel godfather Tom, to make sure everyody's rate stays the same in winchester,.
