Subject: Where is the Chip ? Mon Sep 15, 2014 8:35 pm
I have an 96 RMW with LT1 Engine I was driving on the interstate about 65mph and I floored it, she didnt put you in the backseat BUT it went from 65 to 110 very quickly it had more too go but I chickend out.The engine has had some work done too it-first base and home plate have been removed and several parts have been replaced. I was wondering if maybe someone put one of those CHIPS in it how could I tell if they did ? is it visable and were would I look? From standing start it smokes both tires very easy.

I put chips in mine all the time. BBQ, Salt and Vinegar, Sour Cream and Onion, Sea Salt... love my snacks!

You don't chip the lt1 after 93, you plug in a laptop and tune it. ;-)

Not in a 96, you have to send the PCM out to be tuned (OBD II). Or get one of those lame hypertech programmers.
