wf 2015 schedule

i know this is early but 2015 wagonfest is it still going to be the last sat of july? The reason i ask is i know when it was getting close to the 14 wf and it came up if august would be better. i know it hinges on daves schedule. just thought it would be best to find out sooner than later with vacation planning.

It's always been the last Saturday in July.  Having it that way, you know every year when it's going to be.  No questions about it at all.  If you start changing, then there is confusion.

There are usually multiple WagonFests each year. NY and FL are the ones that seem most consistent. I'll be posting a 2015 WF section soon.

Anyone know when WF Florida 2015 is scheduled for?

Third time's the charm. I'm excited already...and nervous. Considering my track record of what goes wrong each year, I'm hoping for no catastrophic mechanical failure and no deaths.

Otherwise, just booked the room.

Thanks for verifying with the Turkey Run Folks.

All the good info, hotel, etc etc, will be set up AFTER Thanksgiving.
The fall Turkey Run (Thanksgiving week), is easily twice the size of the spring show we attend, so trying to deal with hotels, etc. is best left for at least another month.

That said, I will try and get into the same hotel we had last year, everyone seemed to like it and the location is good.

There is also rumor of a potential fall WagonFest in or around Charlotte next year!

WagonFest billed events are located in the WagonFest sections. All other shows are posted in our Local Events section, hopefully someone will post details.

What's a Swink?

bummer. I'm in Lodi NY the following weekend for my uncle's 70th. Beautiful area for a meet up though, I'm a Central NY boy living in Motown..

A "Swink" is a middle aged American male that goes about his daily life in a full sized rear wheel drive station wagon so heavily modified, it would make Kevin Helms proud (but still claims "it ain't a hod rod") and was manufactured about the same time his kids were.

When somone or a group of people are very tired, or when they are drunk. Some people also use the word swinko, although it means the same thing. The actual word's origins come from the Old english word ''Swink'' where it meant ''to labour'' or ''slave,'' although after centuries it as picked up the slang meaning of being tired/lazy/drunk.
