It seems like some of the most common aftermarket 5x5 wheels around here are off pickups, and they tend to be 10" wide for the rear. I love the idea of filling the rear wheel well, but think that might be 0.5" too wide.
Yeah, offset/backspacing is everything at that point. I know some people (Crovo, for instance) run 9.5s, and I'm sure some have run 10s, but I don't know any off-hand.
Also depends on how centered your body is on its frame - they're all a little bit different pretty much.

I cant' even test these since they all have tires too wide on them. Oh well, something will pop up. I have seen a few sets of Impala wheels, but too beat up to buy.
At least the stock wheels are looking better since I really scrubbed them today:

The wagons are limited to a 9.5 inch wheel. The offset can affect the fit as well. The offset of the mounting surface has to be about 1/2 inch to the outside of the centerline of the wheel.

I'll keep looking. I'd really prefer a non-staggered setup as well, just in case we have issues while towing and I need to swap a wheel front to back.

I got mine from tires2go.com. I went to the shop when I lived in AZ. I have contact info if you want it. The rims you need, if you are looking for 20"s are from the Chevy pick up. The guy at tires2go (Moe) knows his stuff when it comes to rims and tires. He knows exactly what should be on these wagons and what we want on these wagons. (Something that will fill up the wheel wells and look good) I have 20"s all the way around (Boss 338's) with 255/40's up front and 295/40's out back. Toyo Proxy's. Nice tires. Also, mine has Bell Tech drop springs, however, I did need to put one turn knuckle in the fronts. You will need to roll the rear lip, but they will look sweet. " /> " /> " />

Those look amazing! I'm not sure I can roll the lip with the trim still attached. Boo.

I finally got time to check the back spacing on my wheels. For those of you looking to fill up the wheel wells like they should be, here is what I have: 255/40R20 up front on an 8.5 inch wide rim with a back spacing of 4 3/4 inches. 295/40R20 out back on a 10 inch wide rim with a back spacing of 5.5 inches. The rims are Boss 338's. The tires are Toyo Proxes ST II. I have Bell Tech drop springs all the way around. I did have to put one spring knuckle on each side up front. You may not need to do this if you have factory springs. Also, I recommend removing the middle (3rd) front fender well bolt to keep the tires off of it and yes, you will need to roll the rear lip. I'm running 10" rear wheels during the summer on the caprice with 285/40ZR18 tires.
