I would prefer the La Quinta, if at all possible, as it was pet friendly, and Best Western was not.

I also recall it was cheaper, too.

OK, I got back offers from 19 hotels. price ranging from $64 to $147.

The 3 hotels in question are:

Quality Inn (Third year) $76
Best Western (Last year) $69
Baymont (First year... 5 miles away from the track) $67

Still waiting on the La Quinta to respond.

ALL 4 places have an area to hang out and BBQ

The hotel we were at last year is going to be hard to beat. The patio / barbecue area was great and they were happy with us! The price is hard to heat. Yeah they don't take dogs but that's OK, Jake will stay at the kennel as he did last year.

That's my 2 cents.

We'll be coming

I am in. One attending. Non smoker.

Prefer not driving 5 miles.

I can get some real nice steaks. Someone bring a grill.

Yes, also prefer not driving 5 miles. Drunken afterparty shenanigans are a WF Florida tradition. Must remain close.

There is a nice side road at the motel we stayed at last year. Crazy burnouts from possibly inebriated wagoneers. Really convenient to the track, and had plenty of bacon with breakfast.

Thanks for doing the leg work Robert as I've been slammed. I'm in of course, will say one for now...
If they meet last year's price it's a no-brainer IMO. I understand Ray's doggie love, but...I never heard back from the LaQuinta last year (they had a nice pool, and the grassy area off the parking lot was good for the BBQ too....although no side road for Cory's tires).

lol I really hope the wagon can be done for burnouts on the side road, then. $62 is a really good rate.

I'm a big maybe this year. I have a new job and I'll be right at the tail end of my 90 day probie period with them at Daytona time coupled with the fact that I have no idea if I still need a new motor in the wagon or not. Maybe I can rent one again. Cool

In all honestly I think the six and half hours we spent waiting for food was time well spent as I personally got to know a number of the participants a good bit better. Usually in the show everyone runs in different directions looking at all the eye candy parked on the show field.

But yeah, sunny skies and mild temps would be the bomb...

No, St. Simons Island GA, real close to FL. Won't have a wagon or Fleetwood......I know. They made it to NY and VA. Picked up a Lincoln Aviator, that will probably make it to FL. Bring your Caddy to NY this summer and I will bring mine.
