| Have you actually measured your bar? It may be the same as the SS/9C1 bar. | |

Jason, I changed one last year on my RMW, it is visibly larger. Tom

| V92 wagons, Imp SS, and 9C1's seem to be the same front bar to me.

| There is a 9C1 in the yard here. It still has the anti-roll bar on it. Shipping is expensive even to GA. | |

| Am I wrong to believe that some guys installed F Body sway bars? I know the 94 Caprice I owned previously, the guy told me he installed F Body sway bar up front. Might be another option…. | |

| I have a 1 1/4" up front on my '94 BRMW off a '79 Trans Am. The geometry isn't awesome, but it does stiffen it up a little bit.
V92 is a code on your SPID sticker in the tailgate jam. It's the Tow pack code.

| The wagon came with a 28mm bar. The 9c1 and the SS both came with a 30mm bar. It's about 15% thicker than the stock wagon bar. The F body bar arms that turn back towards the control arm are shorter than the B body bars. You need to use longer link bars and the tilt angle wears out the bushings lots faster. | |

I'm guessing you mean the F body bar is 15% thicker than the base wagon bar.

| No, I'm talking about B body bars. The F body bar from what I understand is even thicker at 32mm | |

Not all F body bars,.. If you haven't already,. put a sway bar on the rear,. a balanced suspension is much better than one end being really stiff,. dwywygaw

| Different drivers like different suspension set ups, putting a rear bar on the car will tighten up the rear. In a car that allready exhibits lots of factory built in understeer/push I much prefer the rear to be loose enough to help point the front end towards the inside of the corner. The car will corner flatter with less lean with a rear bar, but less lean does not always result in less understeer. My driving style, my preference, my 2 cents.

A 30mm bar is 7% thicker than a 28mm bar...

works totally opposite for me,..the bigger the rear bar,. the easier it is to hang the tail out,. bigger front bar and the car will 'plow' worse,. most folks never push the car hard enough to experience this tho,. they change the front bar and the car rolls less so they are happy,.they likely will never reach the edge of the envelope of the tires on the car,. course all my opinions are gained by my real world practical experiences etc,. I,ve had lots of B-bodies since 1999 when i got the first 9c1,. I do things in this order with a fresh car,. Now i put on stiffer shocks first with stock springs,. Then bigger tires then a rear sway bar,. Then its time to improve braking,. these improvements in that order make the biggest improvements to a stocker,. Then if the car is headed to modded status,. i do much stiffer shorter variable rate springs,.better shocks again, Much bigger brakes,. quicker ratio steering box,. Then different sway bars,. by this time the car is no longer suitable for daily driver status,. My preference is to have a relatively loose front end geometry, I can use the variable alignment and weight shift to my advantage with a stock bodied car,. Race cars are a completely different science,. and trying to make a race car out of a street car usually ends up with some mutt of a machine,..inmho of course,. over steer is good,.....driving opposite lock is fun,.
