In Charlotte when I showed up and got conscripted to judge the car show, I got the non SS class which included wagons, 9c1s, RMS, and Caprice sedans (no FWs were entered). I didn't realize I was judging three separate mileage classes and thought they were all the same class.
I was objective in judging each one, and to my honest surprise best in each of the three classes were black wagons, lol. It was a tough field and they won by a slim margin in each class, however, the level of detail the wagon owners showed, was truly unparalleled. In no particular order,
The Reconditioner, Lorne, and Bob Borchers (never really on here, but his SS cloned wagon was beyond any of the competition and probably one of the best cars there period). It was a fun time, and I had REALLY hoped to make it KY this year, it was a very NEAR miss (I was only 5 hours away on Tuesday but then had to head back south)....
