Impala SS Nats July 21-25, 2020, bowling green, KY

Next week July 21-25 is the Impala SS Nationals in Bowling Green, KY near the National Corvette Museum.  A GREAT event with great people, focusing specifically on '91-96 B-bodies and Fleetwoods. Autocross, drag race, road race, car show, and banquet. Register this week.  Only $80 to attend, more to participate, but well worth it. I will be there Wednesday or possibly Thursday.

Got to love their spirit. Everything on Earth has been cancelled and last I knew my home state was still pretty restrictive on public gatherings. I suppose everyone can say they are in the pit crew.

I would love to attend one of these but my social media interactions with some of those folks shows them to be dicks so I always pass.

There are always a few in every crowd, but a lot of nice people too. Heck, I'll be there Wednesday (with my minivan) to say hi, and probably stay for the drag racing.

True but my issues pertain to one of the groups main folks and I doubt avoiding the person is possible. Still, it’s in the state that I left for a reason, lol.

As far as watching any racing unless things have changed recently Beech Bend is not allowing spectating or crowds of people. Participants and crew only and they have to be masked up and away from each other.

Man, that sucks. This pandemic really is running everything for everyone, heck, even our most anticipated events.

I paid for the goody bag since I could not attend.  Goody bag included a sign of the times: Impala SS facemask.  Had an OASIS get together two days ago.  One of our members went.  He said he and his wife had a good time.  I was curious about the Corvette Museum and the sinkhole.  They had lots of pics to show me.  Was amazed at how totally messed up some of those cars ended up.
