I was wanting to go to the local pick and pull to get a new rear gear anyone know what kind of car would be the best to pull one from and how hard it is to do?
I also plan on grabbing a new steering boxes I heard the ones from the jeep Cherokee would work?

I guess that depends on what rear gear you want...

I ended up finding a 3:42 in a 2002 silverado but they closed before I was able to finish pulling it -.- so I am going to go back tomorrow and finish pulling it

That'll work. I have a set of 3.73's I salvaged from a 2000 Silverado axle that had rotted axle tubes.

I had stock 3.06 (08?) and swapped to 3.42. Very happy with them.

On a good day when the tune isn't all screwed up, about 18-19mpg, but that's on a 400 block, big cam etc.
