Ok so I happened to be near the boneyard today so I snuck in and took a look at some 95-96 RMS's and the plastic trim for myself. They certainly did stick them on well, and I did not see one with missing insert trim like you see on the real stainless stuff. So after a struggle I got the two front door trim off a white limited sedan with grey leather interior.
I compared them to the real stainless on wagons that were in the yard, it would seem that they will blend well enough not be an issue.
now this is my idea, take a look and tell me what you thing?
this is sort of what I wanted but now that I see it I don't know if I like it.....

I test fitted the 95-96 trim on a 92 sedan door that still has it's pins for the stainless trim, and I'm happy say that it fits perfectly over the pins. I will not have to remove the pins from the door, this will leave me with options down the road...
