| When my headlights I'm thinking of either getting silver star ultra lights, ZXE lights, or a decent LED kit Scotty Kilmer recommended. I thought the blue would look cool and those lights glow a subtle blue, the only issue is that my corner lights wouldn't match, are there blue ish bulbs available. I'm not trying to go RICE or anything, I just like the cooler blue look vs the yellow, and Costa Mesa is poorly lit as well as Long beach so the extra visibility would be nice. | |

| Buy white ones. Not blue. Blue is pointless and emits less useful light. They sell 6000k LED bulbs at most parts stores that fit the side sockets. I have them in my daily driver along with eBay 6k LED headlights. You can see the corner light on in this photo. They are white. | |

| That looks pretty sharp! Thanks for the input! I’ll probably be going with the white. | |

| That photo came out bigger than I thought it would - lol.
White is going to be the most functionally useful light. The blues and purples you see on some cars (8, 10, 12, 15k etc) have lower output to sacrifice for the color.

| I am mostly happy with the LED headlights. They really light up the road. I do not see much difference when I hit the high beams, but I don't need them anymore. I will be upgrading other bulbs to LED, not in a hurry. I'm thinking of the back up lights, and turning lights for starters. | |

| The LEDs will not work with the stock blinker relays, because they do not draw enough current to activate the bimetal switch. You must use an electronic blinker. | |

Great - another vehicle with headlights blinding all the oncoming drivers...

| No one flashes their headlights at me. Mine are aimed correctly. | |

| Fix, nobody flashes me when i'm driving. I don't need the highs because the lows are bright enough.
Fred, i'm not thinking turn indicators, not yet. I'm thinking of back up lights, and the cornering lights that light up the side of the road I'm turning to.

| I have LEDs in my cornering lights, but not my back up lights. I did find LED bulbs for the CHSL that fit with no modifications, and do not get as hot as the incandescent bulbs, saving the plastic mount. If you use red LEDs, they do not lose any brightness through the red lens (the same color LED goes with all colored lenses to get the most brightness). If you use white LEDs with a red lens, the green and blue will be blocked, and you lose the equivalent brightness.
I don't use my high beams either...not necessary. I installed a FW dimmer with flash-to-pass, and did the wiring mods necessary to get it to work. The leads must be swapped, and an additional hot wire added to the FTP lead. You want the high beams to flash.
