It's time to upgrade my 1994 buicks sound system.

I have been looking through the forums to figure out the DIN size, seeing a few conflicting things. Is it a true double DIN? what's so special about 94 buicks being different?

I would like to get a head unit that supports gps, a back up camera, and has decent pre amp outs >2volt

I see that this adapater harness might be the one I will need?

Looking for recommendations, and knowledge.

Thank you!

1994 was the last year for the older GM/Chrysler oddball size Din-1/2.   In 1995 and for 1996 the Roadmaster was updated with an complete new sound system and got a true Double-Din radio.

For your '94 you can go salvage-yarding and pull a '95-96 Dash bezel, but you also need the inner plastic "cage" structure behind it for the larger stereo.

The only other issue...that nobody seems to have cured, is that the dimmer for your climate control runs through the stock Delco radio.  With an aftermarket radio, the digital readout on your climate control will no longer dim, and those green numbers are BRIGHT at night.   Something to be aware of...

You need one for a '94 for an aftermarket radio. 95 and newer are different.

Does anyone have a Red 95 or newer face plate and bracket for sale?

Is there a guide on removing this thing without destroying it?
