Shot out some R134, AKA how I discovered my clutch fan no longer works. Turned off the motor immediately. Then stopped venting immediately after about 20 seconds of venting.

Anyway, is my R4 ruined, or is it a true valve in the sense that once safe pressure is achieved, it closes back up and the compressor is fine to recharge and use once I fix the fan?

The way it acted, I would think it is fine. Can't google a straight answer on this one, maybe somebody here knows.

Thank you ahead of time.

if its any indication, I just hard-coupled my cooling fan and recharged with what little freon I had left, still cools down to 50 degrees with 30lbs on the low side. I am thinking it survived.
