| Well I've got an issue with the '94 6spd Roadmaster Wagon "Notrod". I went to start it and move it last night, and while the backlights for the climate control buttons come on, the actual digital temp readout is totally blank, and no amount of button-pushing would turn it on. I also hear a "burring" sound from under the passenger-side of the dashboard. I was in a rush last night so didn't check it out further. The car itself started right up and everything else seemed fine. Anyone else experience this issue? Will plan to check fuses and such this weekend, but was hoping someone can chime in.
Thanks as always!

| Crickets... Will start going through fuses this weekend. Thinking I may pretend it's a computer and pull the battery cable for a bit...see if it re-sets. | |

| The noise may be something in the fan. As far as the display, you could have a fuse issue as you alluded to, or it could be a failed contorl module. Other than that, only troubleshooting will get you the answer. | |

| SO I read online that taking the battery off would re-set the climate control head. If it comes back on, the control head is failing. Yep. Pulled the battery for a minute, put back on and control head came right to life! Let it sit overnight and it was dead the next day again. Wonderful.
This was actually a new control head, and was still in the box. The backlight buttons on the original 300 +K mile head were burned out so I'd swapped this in from the parts that came with the car over the winter. I guess I'll see about replacing the bulbs in the original head and will reinstall that. .
What fun. | |
