| Black version is for an OCC. Chrome is for the RMW. | |

| Yes, and they are interchangeable. For RMW owners that like the black out look, or OCC owners that prefer the bling. You can also run more than one. AND, you can replace the tall racks on the later cars with these low pro ones that fit perfectly against the roof glass. But everyone knows all this already. | |

| Just as a heads-up, when you remove the screws that hold the end stops, be careful. They are notorious for turning the nutsert in the body instead of the screw turning in the nutsert. There are no more of the bastard size nutserts that GM made. If it turns the nutsert, you will have to drill it out, screw and all. The screw is stainless steel, so you must use a cobalt, or carbide bit. If it spins in the body when drilling, you will have to remove the headliner reveal, and the grab handles to get to the backside.
I hope you do not run into this issue. You can get a slightly larger thread size nutsert that will fit in the hole.
If you decide you want a second black rack I have one for sale as well, but it needs a little paint. | |
