Oil level sender delete- switch setting? Empty
PostSubject: Oil level sender delete- switch setting?   Oil level sender delete- switch setting? Icon_minitimeMon Jun 22, 2020 10:14 pm

I put an aftermarket pan on the LT1 with no provision for the level sensor. I have read that this switch will cause a no-start condition if the oil level is low, so I need to know how to wire it to bypass the switch. Is the switch normally open, or normally closed? Not sure if I need to jumper the contacts at the end of the wire or just tape it up out of the way. I am cross-posting in electrical in case it is more appropriate there, so mods please delete if this is the wrong spot. Thanks!

It is only there for convenience. It affects nothing but the light on the dash.

It will still start with the light on. I put a new GM sensor in mine and the light was still on so I fired up Tuner Pro and turned it off.
