I suppose help keep dust down, is it worth fabricating something or forget about it. Other rear door, has the plastic under the riveted attachment points for the door handle, and I see no evidence of plastic left there as if it was ripped away.

You can buy some sheets of plastic that can be cut to shape and attached to the door.

Makes perfect sense. They are talking about the clear, plastic sheet that covers the door openings that is "under" the door panel.

Upon reading it with a prompt, I now understand where the plastic is. Any heavy plastic sheet would work. Most people do not worry about the plastic if it is torn/missing.
