Old high school friend came by sunday and took me for a ride in his 09 CTS-V sedan with the automatic trans.
This is a truly fast car with torque from idle to redline.Runs mid 12's with A/C on all day long.Speedo shows 200
mph and with the limiter off will run 190 easy.
He stomped it at 10mph and car broke loose then the traction control kicked in and by then it was shifting into
second gear and BAM it jumped sideways at about 65 mph and was doing 100 in a few seconds.
Very taut ride and very quiet even when when the pedal is in the carpet.I want this drivetrain in my wagon now
real bad.His slow daily driver was a 09 vette convertible that his wife took over because she scared of the caddy!
If you have the chance just sit down in this car and enjoy the remarkable quality of the interiors leather stitching
and optional recaro bucket seats.
Trying hard to get him hooked on the CTS-V wagon cause he dont keep his cars long and the wagon is so much
more useful and better looking.
Take Care

Yeah that is my dream car too. That's probably the only new vehicle I would consider owning but there's a small thing called price in my way...

Jon

edit - Wonder ow much they would allow me on trade for a partially running cutlass convertible lol!

A funeral director friend of mine bought a -V to replace her old DTS. God that car is awesome. She let me take it on the highway one afternoon. Holy crap I was not prepared for the pair that this car has.

There was some good discussion at the friday night dinner at WF10 that the first-gen CTS-Vs are very good performance bargains. The new ones are absolutely hellacious.
