I will as I move forward. Trying to get the 96 up and going now. It is running but it has other aliments that I'm working on. It had been setting for about 6 plus years

Nice!
They both look to be in decent condition.

Dear DrLoch
Good buys. Time to break out the power washer. I have a 96 RMW that I am just starting to part out. Weather limited. Just in case you may be interested parts wise.

Cleaning the crap off was challenging.... one of the sad parts of the 96 was the last owner new Michelin tires on it just before it was traded in which are all dry rotted now. I've not really looked the 92 since I bought them. I will in due time.
Only part that I needed so far was driver door lock switch which I got from Fred.
Merry Christmas back.

[quote="DrLoch"]I wanted the 96, had to buy the 92 also to get the 96.
I'm kinda different because I actually prefer the earlier cars for their simplicity.....Not interested in LT1 or 4L60 at all...

See I wanted the LT1 and the 4L60E. I like being able to adjust how everything operates. (In my previous life I was a Systems Integrator, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls.....) Intention is to change the 96 to a TorqHead 24X system. My 94 SS has been changed to a EFI Connection 24X long before TorqHead was available. I use HPTuners on all my cars/trucks. I have done all the conversion drawings to make the change to EFI 24X system. The TorqHead appears to be simpler so I want try that setup so I can compare. Again I will create all the conversion drawings required to make the change to the torqhead.

To answer your question, Khe Sanh, Vietnam. December 1967. I was with the 7th Special Forces at the time.

Sorry, I misspoke. 7th Special Forces should of read 5th Special Forces. Still was Khe Sanh, Vietnam. The 7th Special Forces was back at Fort Bragg, land of the round doorknobs. I'm old and nowadays I have to think harder. Merry Christmas one and all.

Khe Sanh was before I showed up. I was flying Navy from Jan 72 till Dec 75. Did a lot of trips in and around Vietnam during that time period. Did a lot of stupid things as well. Was there preceding and during the fall ferrying people out to the anything that could accept the people and aircraft.
As seen in some old photos, some Helicopters were pushed off the side to make room for others. By the way the helicopter in that picture was a NVA helicopter, you can tell by the insignia on the tail boom. Others' chose to drop the people off, most family, then take the aircraft out and land it in the sea near the ship. Then roll it on it's side to break off the rotor blades get out and get picked up by the angels.
Thank you for your service. "Strength and Honor"
Are/were you part of the Agent Orange recipients as well?

Yes, to your question. We would go into areas where it was laid down (Agent Orange) and make assessments as to how well it was working among other things. Still taking on air. Spent 6+ years in the US Army. Cheers

Nice buy(s). I've had both TBI and LT1 cars. Both are great cars and both have their good and bad points. Interestingly enough the 350 TBI while 80HP less than the LT1, the torque is only 30 ft/lbs less at 300.

Have been devoting my time and resources to the 96 so far. Tried starting the 92..... could hear fuel pump run, loosened fuel line got flow, smelt really bad. Got spark, no flow through the TBI at first then one injector started somewhat and the motor would kick, no bueno on the 2nd injector at all.
Pumped out the rest of what was gas, i think. Order reman injectors and a gasket kit for the TBI. Film at 11 as they say.
