| I paid $1200 for my '93 Caprice with 120k. Has a complete documented service history, solid frame and only minor quarter rust. Not to mention a one owner car since new. I'm happy with it. | |

| I paid 3 grand for my original owner OCC with 54000 miles 6 years ago this past june the 7th.I have all the dealer performed maintenance paperwork.Found out thru this forum that its one of the most optioned OCC produced for 1991. It is getting ready to hit 69000 miles due to my not driving much due to health issues. Its been the most trouble free car that I have ever owned. Jim "Flasheroo" |

| I paid $1900 for mine with 137,xxx miles on it, 2 years ago.
It was treated like garbage for at least the last several years before I got it. VERY dirty with rust in few spots thanks to a leaking roof rack. I spent a good bit on it to bring it back up to snuff mechanically and it has been a great vehicle so I cannot complain.

| I've paid anywhere from $400 up to a bit over $4,000 for wagons. So many variables contribute to what they're worth but in the end it comes down to how much it's worth to YOU. | |

| Discussions like these only end up making you feel bad. You inevitably get the one or two guys who got steals and that makes everyone else who paid a reasonable price look like an idiot. In reality, those kinds of deals are "statistical outliers" which means that the rest of us should ignore them. You have to be in the right place at the right time and be able to travel and have the cash, etc. The fact is, as Fred says, every used car is a once-in-a-lifetime purchase because every car is in a unique position and you'll never be able to buy that exact car ever again. I will say that curiously, every b-body with a broken transmission is automatically worth $1000. | |

Or like how after I bought my Caprice I found this place and all the wagons for sale Still love my wagon and feel what I paid was more than fair.

| You bring up a good point Joel. And those of us who have bought multiple wagons get spoiled by the "great deals" we find.
I've seen wagons that are actually reasonably priced and yet find myself thinking it's overpriced simply because I've gotten lucky on a few finds.
Fair pricing is really a matter of perspective.

| Bottom line One mans junk is anothers treasure I paid a LOT for my OCC BUT I needed a truck with a little power. Some think I am crazy (well a LOT think that) while others didn't think it was that bad of a deal. Hell I have put 1500 miles on it already | |

| $5500 in early '06 with 74K on the clock for a one owner bone stock (original tires even) car that belonged to a 78 year old woman (verified by registration.... birth date was 1928!!)
In 4 years, I have managed to DESTROY the value by putting on an additional 75K miles.....
Wonder what it would be worth if I installed that 88419 mile cluster........

| The price of any used car is directly reflected in the owners enjoyment of that car,.

| I paid $3500 for my 96 with 73K miles on it this past April. It needed a lot of detail work but it's nice now.
