My door light, rear passenger side, will not illuminate. Bulb is good. Other door lights work. Door switch? If yes, where to procure one? Thanks.

You might check the wire conduit between the door and the body for fraying or cracks.

Check the wires in the conduit, and work your back until you find voltage. You may still be able to get the switch from your local parts store. If they can not get one, check Rock Auto. All of the switches are the same from 91-96. They may be the same for a much greater span of years and models.

Looks like I'll be getting the ol' multimeter out. One thing that confuses me: If the door switch was the issue , and that door alone was opened, would it only effect just that door light or would none of the interior lights come on?

Is there a standalone light control module in our wagons, or is built into the Body control module
Either way, you are just sending a signal from the switch to the module and module turns on all the lights.
A lot more wiring and stuff the go wrong than just power to the switch to the light the old school systems were.
I had corroded, loose, connections on a couple my switches when I got the RMW. Tightened up the connections and some contact cleaner took care of it without replacing.

There is no body control module in the 91-96 B body cars. Just a relay.

The only time there is a time delay is when you use twilight sentinel after turning the engine off.
That is interesting as the owner's manual seems to indicate all the Roadmasters have a 30 or 40 second delay for the interior lights depending on if you just open the door or use the remote unlock. The manual also seems to only be referencing the headlights going to automatic vs manual control/

On my 96 I don't use the Twilight sensor so it is off.
The lights do come on with delay when I remote unlock the doors and stay on until started or about 30 seconds.
If I open a door from inside or outside the car even with FOB in the house my in the remote garage, the lights come on and stay on even after the door closed. I see this all the time when I am working on the car.
This appears to be just as the owner's manual states, to me.

I have a Caprice wagon, no twilight sentinel and no remote unlock. When you open the doors, door lights and overhead lights stay on for about 30 seconds.

Tom is correct. Booster is correct. That owners manual is correct. I can go outside and make some videos showing the interior lights on both the 95 without TS and the 96 with TS staying on for 30-40 seconds after all the doors are closed if anyone else needs further clarification.

Thanks Woody, I have been looking through the so very poorly laid out factory service manual for actual schematics to see where the wires all wind up. The manual splits up stuff so badly in chunks and then indexes them terribly so hard to get a good look quickly.
It appears that the delay from remotes is in the remote lock control module in the left rear wheel well and the Twilight is headlight delay as suspected.
The signal from the door switches looks to go to Convenience Control Center which I expected would be small control module of electronics but appears to only be a relay block for plug in relays. Stated to be in the left side front kick panel area.
The parts lists only show a, IIRC, 5 pin relay, so the opening of door time delay must be inside of that relay as I saw no other items like a standalone delay.
None of this changes the OP's problem with one door not doing it's job, but at least let's him know how it works and where to look for the problem. Since the other doors work, the relay works, so that leaves just the switch and wiring. As mentioned earlier, or switches had a couple them with loose, corroded connections and cleaning them up and tightening took care of our similar issue.

While I always recommend people with these cars have the FSM on hand, they aren’t perfect. The wiring stuff is a big PITA.
