| Need all 4 stiffer springs to replace the old wore out ones on the wagon.
Requirements: MUST maintain stock height, otherwise I can't get out of the driveway. Must be stiffer than stock without feeling "bolted to the chassis" Would like all 4 to come from the same manufacturer.
Any ideas, recommendations?

| I left the stock strings on my car but put coil-over overload shocks on the back and Monroe Severe Service shocks on the front. The back is perfect, but I may put KYB's on the front as those Monroe shocks are SO stiff you do feel more bumps than you should from the front.
But bottom line is the cars rides very stable now with no bobbing, and the ride hieght was not changed. Just my 2-cents!

| I have the 550012's up front and the 550013's out back with Airlift 1000's. Car does not sit level, there is a 1/2" difference between left and right. 3/4" difference in the front. That's not shocks, that's solely springs; on all 4 corners. I just figured that they have sagged a bit over the years and towing a 3400# trailer around isn't helping much. I know that there is a mathematical formula to figure which corner is weak, but it is just easier to change them all..... This is what I mean..... Empty, Passenger side: Empty, Drivers side: Loaded, Drivers side: Lowered trailer onto hitch and waited 30 min for the bags to inflate...... Loaded Passenger side: Moog has a set of springs for the wagon that are "OEM". Great, Is that F40 or F41 OEM? Anyone know what the stock (new) unloaded -removed- rear spring height is? i am going to remove them to try and fix the bags......again...... and can measure the springs out of the car..... Will wore out springs be shorter than new out of the car? | |

You are forgetting body bushings. Your springs might be fine. For same height springs, but higher rate, contact Bill Harper (Navy Lifer) on the ISSF. He has the PNs you are in need of.

| Been on the net for an hour now and cannot find ONE reference to body mount bushings. Are they even avail? Got a part #? I think there were 3 different ones needed ( in different colors, no less) But I did manage to find a brand new, from the factory floorpan...and an "axle housing... Chevrolet....wagon....with disc brakes.....2:56.... non-limited slip"(GMPartsdirect) for a cool $1157 (axle)

| Another bump. Did you ever get the p/n's for the stiffer rear springs? Autozone shows two types. I'm curious which ones I need too. Standard: Variable Rate: | |
