| I need to move one of my wagons out of here as I just got a promotion and a company car so I need space I'm offering up either one of my 91 Oldsmobiles, I'll keep which ever one doesn't sell Both were built 11/90. Big Red, car #139, highly optioned with sentinel, climate control, jvc cd player and new 6x9s in the back 104K on the clock (or close to it). Interior has white paint all over it, front seat leather torn on bottom of seat, rear seat hinge broken but it does go up and down. clear coat just started peeling about 2 weeks ago. only one or two spots of rust on top of windshield and by top of tailgate glass. underside is clean. tires are close to replacement Forum price $800.https://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z173/sprocket100/Big%20Red/Radio Flyer , 91 OCC car #868. 151K, aftermarket red paint, tires are good. antenna works, new shocks last year, new rear axle seals, and drum brakes. factory AC converted to 134a, very clean interior, puff of smoke at startup only. Famous cloth 3rd seat. As seen at Wagonfest '10. Comes with original window sticker. very minor rust on bottom by cladding. forum price $1250https://gmlongroof.4umer.com/t268-lucky-7-or-how-i-scored-the-trifecta?highlight=lucky+seve | |

| How well does Big Red run? I've had in my mind that a tbi car would be good for my route. I'm interested.

| thanks for the props guys. I'm pumped about finally getting a little ahead at work and having a little more free time to work on my cars.
Jon, you have PM.
Pat, Jade not currently for sale. I've already bought too many parts for her not to do it.
Cadet if you are really interested PM me.
I'd really like the cars to stay in the family as they are both early production numbers and pretty good examples even if one is the dirty little girl of the bunch.
Big Red is also for sale locally at a non forum price, but haven't had time to put an ad for the Radio Flyer yet.

I miss my '89 Cruiser. I've never has a round-body one. One of these days.
Congrats on the promotion! What kind of company car are you getting?

I'm pouty stomping I have to part with one. It is with great mixed emotions that I'm doing this but I HAVE to make some space around here. I have a co-worker who has wanted to buy Big Red for 3 months but his wife keeps telling him he can't (she hates the car and can't see past the torn seats and white paint . I finally had to tell him it's for sale elsewhere even though I know he'd give it a good home. Mike, dunno what type of Company car yet. Normally, I'd get a pickup but they said they were out of those and had to round up something, so I may end up with a little GM sedan of some sort. I'm not picky as it'll save me alot of gas and miles on my own ride.

| Well folks, I have to bow out . I just found out that I could be getting a promotion of sorts very soon. The company I contract for is most likely adding some new routes and I have a shot at one. On the plus side, way more money. On the down side, I'll have to buy a *gasp* van. I was ready to go get big red but I had better wait on another car. Must be something about Sprocket's OCC's and promotions. Next. Talk about bad timing for me! Sorry guys, I really wanted this but I better go the more money direction right now. Jon | |

| I LOVED my cargo van (that became universally known as "Uncle Pervy's Free Candy Van").
The ONLYIEST reason I ever sold it was because the wagon nazi told be that if I planned on bringing home a wb4 wagon from Fred's WF09 that Fred had my name on, then the van had to go before hand. So I sells my van, and the car I was slated to drive home ended up being a disaster - and I ended up with neither.
Don't be scared of the van.

lmao, I got my 'new' company car today........ First thing I noticed was the paper on the dash that said. 'This vehicle has been surplussed Do NOT Drive, Do NOT wash, Do Not Fuel, Do Not do any maintenance on this vehicle' The last line was especially reassuring It's a 1997 Ford Escort with 88K on it, scratches and chipped paint, a fist hole in the dash (looks like someone punched it REALLY hard, (possibly the woman whose business car I found under the seat) and no corporate fuel card (so I had to call my old boss to stop off and swipe his so I could fill up). the hubcaps have the silver paint worn off and you can see the yellow plastic underneath and it looks like it was parked on a country dirt road with the winders down for a spell (brown dust everywhere). Oh yeah and Georgia plates on it but I won't be driving my car and using my gas and the AC and radio work so it's a winner!!!!

| Better than putting the miles on your own car.
I'm shocked the a/c still works. The compressors on those were crap.
You going to invest in some spray-paint for the hubcaps? : )

| Sprocket - is an Escort in you driveway the same as bringing a knife to a gunfight? Like attacking an aircraft carrier with a rowboat? Better watch out it doesn't get swamped when you drive a wagon past it...
Congrats on the free transportation! Jon

| I like the looks of the newest Malibu, both inside and out. I tried to convince my in-laws to get one instead of the Fusion they bought, but they said the Chevy dealer would not budge on pricing.
I think they should have looked harder..... ; )

| We have an 09 Malibu with the V6. Very nice car and just about 50K miles on it now, runs great. The previous gen Malibu is a good car too, not particularly attractive but solid. | |

| I looked at a silver previous gen Malibu Maxx SS. Lots of cool features but the styling was just too odd. The new cars look a lot better.
Glad GM is past the Corsica stage. Those were crap. Dad rented one once, nothing else was there. It was a 2.2 4cyl, and he was sure something was wrong with it, it was SO LOUD....but he found out that was just how they sounded when you got on them.

I think they should have looked harder..... ; ) They are correct, Chevy dealers are hard asses to the max. Dad when to the local one to check out the SS Camaro. When it come time to deal they would only take $500 off the inflated sticker. He went to Dodge and they would take 5K plus off any Challenger he wanted. That made the Dodge almost 10K cheaper. Of course dad ended up with neither because he said the SS is 10 times the car when compared to the Challenger. To bad for the Chevy lot cause they were gonna pay cash for the car.

| lost in a sea of wagons...... One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others By the time I finish my song? Did you guess which thing was not like the others? Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong? If you guessed this one is not like the others, Then you're absolutely...right!

| If it had a blue sticker of a bell on the side it would remind me of all the Bell System company cars my Dad used to drive home. Omni's, Escort's, K-cars, and even a Matador way back in the day.
The Omni was the best. You could be going 70 on the highway, push the button for the a/c, and the car would fall to 60 like an anchor had been dropped. Does that car do that too?
Hope the Malibu gets there fast!

Oh my wife would be just fine with one going away. It's the buyer's wife. Twice now. hmm, the car is fair at best, but mechanically sound which just goes to show you how superficial South Florida is ha ha ha. c'mon someone needs one of these two cars.
