Need a wagon for a friend

My son's friend just won $1500 in cash thanks to the Georgia Lottery and now he wants a RELIABLE ride. Anyone know of a wagon within 100 miles or so of here (Savannah)?

Prefer a 94 and up, but anything that will stay running more than 3 months is better than what he has had.

Is the budget $1500 or more?? I also went a little beyond the 100 mile mark, but not too bad. ; )

What I find down here is junk like a '94 LAB woody with 269K, not a single straight body panel and not one single salvageable interior item.... all this for the LOW,LOW, LOW price of $3500.

If it starts and runs on it's own power.... it's $2K or more.

He will either wear it out or get bored with it in a year or less and I want him to have something I can "buy back".

I seem to remember an Oldsmobile Radio Flyer Wagon in Florida in his budget that's pretty nice. Buy him a Greyhound bus ticket and let him drive it home.

I really like this one. Scour Craigslist and the local salvage yards for some chrome Buick Road Wheels or some factory Buick turbine mags, tint the windows, and nice a nice reliable-as-the-sun ride. 307 is a dog but they run and run and run. Looks solid and clean....and it's local. Says even the a/c still works.

Heck with his $1500 he could get wheels, register and insure it, and have enough left over to relace the sure-to-be-shot cheap factory speakers. Offer $1000.....all the better.

What more do you need?
