Hi Gang! I can't compete with the Florida Wagonfest pics, but we had a really good local cruise-in tonight. Great weather in the 80's and lots of sun. I got there early for once so most of the pics can be SEEN in the light...nice change!
Had some issues with the Roady, will post in General section, so took the Cutlass tonight. Popped off the T-tops and Dad went with me. Good times!
Here we go! Nice group tonight!

Thank you for all the photos!
I'm sorry, but I just fell out of my chair laughing when I saw this one. Chevy? What Chevy? I can't see it because that guy is in the way, and he adds nothing to the picture! I'm sorry if that's you or someone you know (I saw him in a few other photos), but couldn't you wait until he walked out of the frame before snapping the photo?
I've taken lots of photos at cars shows over the years, and I know how hard it is at times to get a clear shot of a car because of all the people milling about. My sympathies on this one!

That's my father. He seems to enjoy walking in front of the camera just as I snap a picture. Ha! Sorry about that. HE thinks he adds something to the pics I guess.
Ah family!

Thanks for the effort for the thread Mike. Great job capturing everything - good, bad, or otherwise.
The coupe with the flames is something I know I could do now. (amature hour) You can tell that whoever did the job is early on in learning true flames - as it's common to overshoot the same shield and make it look like swiss cheese.
That 57 chevy - I hate it, but I love it at the same time. It sucks, and sucks hard - but it captures a snapshot of the terrible 80's paint jobs.

Ha, yep that 57 is really BRIGHT. He's at a lot of the meets, a nice guy. Still not sure how it's street legal.
Oh and that black 30's coupe was AWESOME in person. The paint so so deep and smooth it looked like a mirror, but I see what you mean about the flames.
Fun times!

I was brought up on street rods, and I could tell that one was legit. What he's got isn't a bad job by any means. I'm just a fire critic.
I dig cruise nights, but I never could get turned on my a late model car that's clean. It' friggin supposed to be clean. It's NEW! For a stretch in the late 90s there was this 450 pound woman that would bring her brand new Pontiac SUNBIRD to a bunch of shows and get a trophy for being the cleanest in that category. Lame.
There are exceptions though. That Ford GT is bitchin.

I kinda like that it's a "bring-what-ya-got" meet. All are welcome. Did you see the fairly ratty Volkswagen Jetta GLX next to my Cutlass. Not exactly my cup of tea, but the kid driving it was really nice. But you know me, I'm just a major car nut. I really liked looking over that new Califonia Special Mustang GT and also the new Challenger 394. And even though they are common, the tang-orange Z06 Vette and the modded red Z06 were both AWESOME to look over.
I'm just glad to see so many "car-people" getting together and getting along. From Mavericks to Aston Martins. It's a neat mix!
Funny story, the guy in the silver Maverick almost didn't come out. He said he was afraid people would laugh at his car. He was shocked to see Doc's green Maverick there. Ha! I pointed out that my normal cruise-in car is a 96 Buick station wagon, and that I enjoy it when people giggle at it. I think we'll see the silver Maverick at more cruise-in's now.
Ha!
