| 5. Brand new, 304SS gen1 tri-y headers with brand new 1996-style - 2x O2 bungs- high-flow cat converters (I could be conviced to include 2 cat delete pipes instead). Includes header bolts. Came from Focuztech before they went belly-up, retailed for over $1700 + shipping. I don't think CIA will be running 304SS gen1 tri-ys again unless they get a huge order. If you daily drive your car in the North you do NOT want coated mild steel. Feel free to discuss this issue with me at WF... $1350 Significantly cheaper than buying new from Stan's headers.
Prices excludes shipping. I can bring the headers WF for buyers and will take COD or a MO.
Photos for interested persons only. Don't ask for photos if you don't intend to buy, this thread isn't meant to entertain you.

| Actually, I thought that stainless headers, high flow cats, and header bolts for $1500 was a pretty good deal. But I bought the CIA coated headers last summer.
Were the Focuztech headers made by Stan?

Were the Focuztech headers made by Stan? yes they were. I've had the coated mild steel CIAs and they rusted through in 2 years. CIA's warranty should be reworded to read. You only get 1 recoat, then you're SOL. The lifetime warranty is a huge joke. Get it ? - flasheroo wrote:

Are you saying you don't understand the difference between a set of high quality mid-length headers designed specifically for the b-body that will outlast the car and a set of poorly designed, uncoated shorties, or that you think the other members don't ? Why go to a fancy restaurant when you can go to McDonald's, or have a nice bottle of wine when you can drink paint thinner ? I think, or at least hope, that people understand that you get what you pay for.

Since I'm living in a state which doesn't allow salt on the roads, I hope that I do better than you did.

| Hey Jason you stated that you dont know how to respnd to my statement so why did you?I know for a facts that MOST canadians are wonderful fun loving people who have a clear grasp of the english language! They also understand a good joke when it is written. My statement concerning holding your breath meant in todays economy spending $$1500 bucks on a set of headers makes no sense. If you are building a $20,000 engine yes but a lot of us on this forum cant spend $1500 on an complete exhaust system.Drop the attitude or stuff it,I dont care if you dont know how to respond to this either! I guess we have a very different sense of humour. I understand some members can't justify the cost, and I respect that. However, It's usually considered good etiquette not to post in a FS thread if you aren't interested in buying. In fact most forums explicitly forbid it. For someone who lives up North and drives his car in the winter, a set of 304 SS headers are an excellent choice. They do have a higher initial cost but they'll outlast the car. You can easily demod the car and resell them when you're done. I already explained how even ceramic coated mild steel headers will rust out in short order. ISSF has several reported cases of this happening, and all those people were left high and dry by CIA after their 1st and only free recoat. It doesn't do you much good to spend $500 or $700 on a set of headers if you're going to be buying a new set and redoing the job 2-3 years later when they rust. For those members who can't afford the downtime, or who don't have the means to install their own headers, it certainly adds up. In today's economy, it doesn't make sense to pay for the same thing twice. I'm not holding my breath. | |

| Jason I never said your headers were not worth the money I just feel that putting 1500 dollar headers on a street driven wagon in todays economy isnt the best way to spend your money. Real quick since I should not ask this here.Does your coat of arms have anything to do with the 449th expedishionary forces from your part of Ontario formed way back in the late 50's or early 60's?Oh and have you posted these headers over at "Racing Junk".com? no, I want to give the wagon guys 1st crack. I'm not in a huge hurry to sell. I might put them for sale on ISSF for delivery at the Nats. | |

| Stan's headers is having a GP on headers. However, 304 SS headers are not / NOT included. To sway anyone considering buying a set of coated mild steel, I'm offering this set at $1350 while the GP is on ! | |
