https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjzpx_jUUA0&NR=1 - Ok I'm no Ford lover...but come on... He's talking about 70's cars and that Lincoln is an '86 or newer model. On top of that, while not "agile", the 80's TC's were VERY smooth, VERY quiet, and with the FI 5.0 302 they were very reliable too.

Before they throw that Lincoln too far under the bus, I wish someone could have brought up the quality of Lucas electronics, or how reliable the Rover/Sterling's were they dumped on us as luxury cars in the 80's..

That was the joke. Clarkson's hatred for most cars American is long known, but this was done more in jest.
