| I know that these hoses were talked about over on the other forum.Ebay listing #280436642180 Cost $108.85 plus $11.85 S&H.I know that these hoses are not as good as the green silicone hoses used on the 9C-1s.Has anyone used any of these style hoses and if so what kind of results have you had?I did a little checking and these are very good hoses and I priced out the hoses individually and this is a pretty good deal.Didnt realize that the LT-1s have so many hoses but if I am going to hit some of the Wagonfest events I want to replace all of them. Thanks A Bunch Jim Gordon |

| I have no experience with them other than they look nice installed in purty colors.
For a dollar a hose at the junkyard, I'm going with the 9C1 hoses....

| Jim, I have the Goodyear Hi-Miler hoses on both of my cars. Pretty happy with them, but use something under your hose clamps if you use standard clamps. They tend to tear up the hoses. Other than that NO problems......... I have black nylon mesh over them. Used to protect hoses and such. Gives it a little different look. | |

| I think Brokecello used them in his sedan nose wagon. He seemed pleased with them according to his posts. | |

| I would not bother spending your money on those hoses, and I say this owning a 9C1 and a Roadmaster. The stock hoses are just fine, and stock replacements are excellent quality.
If anything, replace your T and restrictor in the heater lines with new parts first.

| Tim the engine in your SS is beautiful, who made your valve covers?Whats in the little blue bottle behind the master cylinder, brake fluid?Your SS engine would make even Texas Mike happy as clean as it is! One last question Tim,what would be the first modification you did to a stock LT-1 like mine? Jim Gordon |

| Valve covers are made by Canton and modified to fit the heater hoses by a friend. Little blue bottle is in the wagon. When I do a tranny change I take some on the road. Just in case.......... The first mod I would do if starting on a wagon is an intake. As Mike says they are a beautiful motor and should be shown. I like the RAISS system for power, but it makes it harder to get to the motor if you need to work on it. I chose the RAMMIT system. This may restrict airflow somewhat (no one has ever proved this to me), but it really opens up the look of the motor. Gears would be up next on my list. I had 2.56:1 gears in mine. If you drive 125 mph they are perfect for you. I REALLY like my 3.08:1. The 3.73:1 in the Impala is a great set up as well, but not convinced this is the way to go for as many miles as I put on. 3.42:1 might be a good compromise. 3.5" MAF (F-Body). Keep the screen. Next I would look valve springs and roller rockers. 1.6 would not work on my wagon. I have only heard of this on one or two other LT1 cast iron head engines. My heads will not let the push rods clear. I have 1.5 roller rockers currently. These will get changed when I install the Aluminum heads I have had ported. Next exhaust. Lets make it breath easy. Headers - Torque at higher RPM........ cam - loss of mileage............. Thanks for the compliment......... I show the picture EVERY chance I get..... | |

| Holy crap those hoses are expensive but I guess you pay for quality and custom at the same time. I like that you can get them in different colors though. Probably even more though. | |

| I've run the GY's on a few cars and like them. The clamps do bite into the hoses though, so you could either live with it, or wrap some tape or some fishnet stalkings (Tim? ) around the ends.... And gee... That DCM with the RAISS intake sure looks familiar... | |

| I've used the High Miler ones on a couple of cars (AGW, WB4, RMS and now my current wagon)...I mainly get them because for $90 I get the whole set and they are something a little different. I use these clamps, as they don't bite into the hoses like the normal ones. (you need two sets) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-390500/ You need to clean them with a clean rag and silicone. They can get chalky on the outside and will show greasy fingerprints easily. I have the RAMMIT intake too.
