| I need to pass the torch to someone else this year for WF shirts. I just don't have the time to focus on it unfortunately. You don't need to be able to print them yourself, though that wouldn't hurt. So speak up if you want to volunteer to coordinate purchase and such. I'll help you get up to speed and pass along the info I have. Thanks! | |

| That's what I was thinking as well. John has the ability and talent. Personally John, I'd suggest making a batch of T's and Save the Whales stickers for sale at WF11. I'll be going. I live40 miles away. If I can be of any assistance I will. Send me a PM Here's one I got recently from him. By the way the lines of the sticker are not rippled. They are straight, it's just the compression format used by Photobucket to store them that makes it look wiggly. | |

| How about Wagon Fest 2011 with the wagon outline modestly on the left breast. If we want to pay homage to Fred we can up Northstar Auto Sales under the breast logo. And Save The Whales on the rear between the shoulder blades large. Beige shirts with dark brown logo's like we had 2 years ago. | |

| I like the WF logo stuff on the front, and save the whales on the back. I'd like to see darker colors, because the lighter colors show stains easier.
Oh, and I'm still going to were this to church, as I did with last years shirt.
Does someone make t-shirts with a wood grain look?
IMO, Mike | |

| I was never a fan of the Reese's color scheme... Not a big fan of the "Save the Whales" either... I like the small wagon on front, even with the North Star Auto under it and the Wagon line drawing on the back... But that's just me. I'm down for one whatever it is. | |

IMO, Mike Maybe a small WF logo on one side and our name on the other. Then again, idk if that is something Bewber has the time to do and the fact he graciously volunteered to do the shirts in the 1st place is awesome.

| I don't want to reinvent the wheel, but I do have some thoughts that I'd share no matter who was making this year's batch.
I don't think we need to have the name of Fred's car lot on the shirts. I got mad love for Fred, but I just don't see it. If we want to make one for Fred and send it to him with that logo, I'm down - but I don't think having his former car lot's logo on the events shirts will really add to MORE homage than the fact that Wagonfest has continued to live on. I don't think anybody has forgotten our roots.
I like the design of the "Wagon Mafia" wagon moreso than the Save the Whales one, but I get that many aren't hip with the "mafia" part of it. It's just a word and it can be easily replaced. So I'm for that wagon profile because it's clean, uncluttered, and clearly a B-body wagon, but with something like Wagonfest 2011 under it, and maybe "New York" under that.
I never really cared for the previous wagonfest wagon - the one with the shot from the rear drivers corner. It functioned, but had some real odd lines.
I'm also not a huge fan of two-tone brown. I'm not pushing for something as simple as blacks and whites, but out of all the colors to choose from, brown and brown wouldn't be the top pics of shirts I get excited about wearing.
The top 10 list was fun last year, but as a wearer - now that it's been done, I'm for keeping it simple and having it proclaim Wagonfest, with a wagon, as I'd previously suggested.
Anyway, as every year, let the suggesitons fly and hopefully we'll come up with something that we're all excited to wear long after we all get back home.

| My vote, if it's something you really would want to wear outside the garage would be this: Plain white or black shirt Front: Save the whales logo, just like what Dave is wearing up there. That's the perfect size Back: A big version of the Wagon Mafia profile with WagonFest 2011 underneath it. Same size as Save the Whales up front. Put this around where a person's shoulder blades would be on the shirt (sue me, I don't know technical terms LOL) The forum address below that This way the event name is clearly seen, the forum address is there, and its interesting enough from the front for someone to ask about it. \ My 2 cents. |

| How about t-shirts that look like motorcycle club jackets. On the back: Wagonfest at the top. The wagon mafia logo in the middle. New York on the bottom. And a WC for Wagon Club just to the lower right of the logo. On the front: WF2011 over left breast. Harbor Master over right breast. Just throwing around ideas in my head, and typing them in. | Nicks idea was the original Wagon Mafia logo, but instead of the spade, to have a couple of glocks with the barrells crossed. It looks alot more mafia-ish, and is actually my favorite out of all the variations, but more people have preferred the spade. | |

| I like the outline of the vehicle as well used in the mafia pic. I'm just not into the "mafia" verbiage on the logo. I could see this outline used on the back with a Wagonfest 2011 notation under it. Simple. Sweet. Mike can wear it to Church, and it won't scare the sheep either. That's a win-win situation Here's rough idea. All the edges of lines need some clean up. | |

| Let me see if I can shrink that wagon design small enough to work as a front pocket graphic. I'm not sure I can and here's why - as you reduce it's size, everything gets proportionally smaller, including the line thicknesses. With the lines already being so thin, it may not work when reducing it down that low.
I have a couple other designs in my head for this project too.

| Yup I like Nick's logo. The 2 guns crossing looks just like Yosemite Sam is pissed off at that wascally wabbit again.
I like the wagonfest 2011 one as well.
If I accept taking orders, does the money go directly to Bewber? and I just keep count? If so I have no problem with that. I'll start a thread so everyone can post and I can just update it with info. Or do I need to accept the cash and Bewber just gets paid when shirts are done? I need more info Mike.

| Bewb, if you have illustrator you can trace the logo into there as it'll be vector art at that point and scale easily. If the lines get too thin you can put stroke on them to fatten them up a bit (had to choose my words carefully there).
I'd be happy to help massage the logo into a pocket sized one that would screen print well if you want (haven't been doing any graphics in awhile now....). just lmk.
Otherwise I'll go back to spectating as I won't be one of the blessed that attend the event this year.

Give me a few days to help the process by cleaning up the artwork that I started. I resized the letters.. seemed overpowering, and am cleaning up the lines as well. They pixelized when I copied the pic that Nick posted.

PM me if you need any info. The way I've worked it in past years is I collect orders and funds then send a single check/payment to the printer with the order. Shirts were delivered to me for storting and handing out/mailing.
Take a look at the WF09 and 10 sections for my threads with instructions, costs, etc.

I'd vote for ash since it's not as hot as black, and doesn't dirty as quickly as white, but there are a bunch of other colors too - dark blue, red, whatever.

| Feel free to play with fonts.. I was looking to find something like wet noodles. that was all I could come up with. Anybody got something that looks like "GM font", like the script on an Impala, Chevelle or other past GM muscle car? Keep in mind, it will likely need to be one color, not mulitiple tones for ease of printing. What says Mr Bewber on that point?
Bear in mind folks.. you'll never satisfy everyone's tastes on this, so there will come a point where it's as good as it goods. I don't think we are there yet, but keep in in mind.

| There are a ton of free font websites to play around with, and anything you can find, I can also find and use for the shirts.
Dk Red on Red is an option for sure, as is red on ash - and you are correct that single colors are the rule per "thing" I could do a wagon in a color, and the text beneath it in a different color, but I couldn't shade them with blues, silvers, and browns to make them look chrome.
I'll probably want to shoot myself for opening this up, but the truth of the matter is that this isn't rocket surgery and I actually think we CAN make everyone happy as long as there is good, precise communication. There's no LAW that says everyone HAS to have the same color shirt, or even the same exact graphic. If there's a design you see and that's the one you really want, you should be able to have it. If there's a certain color shirt you'd really like, you should be able to have it.
If the order taker wants to veto that idea, that's fine too - but I don't have a problem being flexable with designs and colors.

| I personally like the, um, traditional 'wagon silhouette'. I do agree though that we don't need to keep the "north star auto" part.
Having put my .02 in, I'm game for whatever pretty much. Mike has been sent the front and back designs from previous years.
