| I'm going to take over the ordering and organizing of the shirts from Mike P. (DBeaSSt). I've pm'ed Bewber a few times, I'd like him to print them to keep the money close to home. I'm keeping them simple, I'd like to keep them the same, and I'd like the shirts to be made in the USA. The cost will most likely be higher than in years past, but it's worth it IMO. John (Bewber) doesn't have pricing as of yet for US made shirts, he needs a solid count of the # of shirts needed first. So here is what is in my head for the design. I'd like to see a medium shade of grey, black ringed tee (might need to change to a plain grey, not ringed) with "Wagonfest 2011" in small font over left breast on front. On the back, starting at the shoulders, "Wagonfest 2011", the wagon mafia silhouette under that, and then Waterloo, NY. under the Silhouette, using the same font, just a larger version of it, with black graphics, make sense? Below is my poor attempt to splain myself on the back graphic. "Wagonfest 2011" /-----\__ '--o----o-' "Waterloo, NY." Like the idea, hate the idea.... Send all negative comments to Tim Swink (BigBlackBeaSSt). Just kidding, don't send anything but love to Tim. I think we should have this warped up(orders in and paid for) by late June to give John enough time to get them done for the fest in July. The pricing info will be coming out as soon as John gets a firm # of shirts needed. I'd figure $20 +/- per shirt, fat guys, a little more. John doesn't know yet if he is delivering them personally or shipping them to the fest. We, John and I, need to know how many shirts you want, and what sizes. For right now assume Adult S-XXXL, and Youth S-L Thanks, Mike (200OZ) | |

| no devo.. just know what I like. " Mafia" has a very negative infamous ethnic background to it. It won't be on any shirt I wear. Here's a interpretation of Mike's thoughts. I'd say the white on black pops out more so than does the black on gray this is on a lighter gray background with the added window outline this is the same as above, but white on black instead also centered the image better.

| That's pretty close Dave. No mafia tags what so ever. I'm not opposed to black with white print, we had black last year, just thought I'd mix it up a little. I was thinking a slight arch to "Wagonfest 2011", and Waterloo in place of Geneva.
So Dave, do you want one now?

| Not that anyones's asking, but I'll toss in my $.02. I've noticed that most of my Wagonfest T-shirts end up in a drawer. They are a nice reminder of past events, but don't often get worn because they aren't dressy enough. Secondly, the side view makes for a nice breast pocket logo, but the rear 3/4 view used on the front of last year's shirts is the best one. There is no doubt what car that is. Scoob & Jen modeling last year's shirts I would propose spending a bit more for a tie-dyed T-shirt, Using a single color silkscreen in whatever color contrasts the best, with the small side view on the front and the large 3/4 view on the back. Not having shopped for them before, I did a quick search to look for ideas and found some pics here: http://www.tiedyedshop.com/Something really flashy: Or perhaps an alternate for those a wanting something a bit more conservative: Although the shirts would be more expensive, they would be more apt to get worn again. I know I'd be much more likely to wear the first one to summer events. The fact that the pattern makes them slimming, doesn't hurt a bit either Everyone in Waterloo would certainly know we had arrived... Thanks for listening, - J | |

| Jay kinda curious as to how is a tie-dyed T-shirt any more dressy than a nice 1 color T-shirt? When I go out to a dressier kind of event I wear a Polo or even a button up style with a proper collar.Always felt that T-shirts are a comfort first kind of attire and their appearance was and is irrelavant as long as they are clean and not offensive to others. | Thank you Mike for stepping up and I appreciate keeping it simple. I like how Jay churches it up with hippy patterns. As far as identifying the wagon - I've never felt like the side profile of the wagon mafia wagon left any confusion as to what model wagon it was - and I was never a huge fan of the 3/4 butt shot because of that odd line (shadow line) that ran all around it. It's not bad, it's just not my favorite. Jay, send me any shirt you want the event info on, and I'll make it happen for you. Concerning finding shirts made in the USA, my current supplier gave me a friendly chuckle, a sigh, and wished me luck. He then let me know that if I DID find any, to expect to pay at least double, but probably more. I love me some USA, but at some point - there is that line I cross and shop by price. And as Mike also mentioned, any out of towner wagon kooks are also more than welcome to order a shirt. I'll just ship it to you directly. | |

| Just putting my $0.02 (or $0.03 due to inflation) but I'd prefer solid colors. I'm not a fan or tie-dye or that other option. Personally green with white writing is a favorite of mine. | |

John, to make it easy for you, let me know if your needs are white design on black background or a negative of that being black on white background. Not knowing your process, let me know what is best to suit your production needs.

If there's a certain color shirt you'd really like, you should be able to have it. damn now there's nothing to argue about,... *sigh*

| I'm waiting for you to tell me what size you want. Also guys, in my amateur's level of searching for shirts that are manufactured in the USA, I'm struggling to find any that are even in the same zip code as affordable. One site wanted $21 each - and another got as low as $7.50 each, but only if you ordered 100 of them. For as much as I'd like to provide USA made shirts, I can't find any that we can get for "just a couple bucks more". That said, I'm American, the guy around the corner who owns the local small business that I buy them from is American, and the people that own the sign supply shop that I buy the vinyl from are also American and send their kids to the same private school as my kids. I get the it's important to support our countrymen, but from where I'm at, the imported 50/50 Fruit of the Loom shirts I've been using still does just that - it supports my fellow local small business owners who I know also spend their money locally with other American owned businesses. I understand that it's not the same as buying USA made shirts, but unless someone magics an absolute steal on some that are, I'm going to use for our mass production purposes are going to be the imported Fruit of the Loom ones that help out my local economy, and you guys can make up your own mind whether or not you'd like to participate with those ones or if you'd prefer to locate your own USA made shirt, and I'll press the logo stuffs on that one for you. | |

Nice find Tom. And for those of us who dont like pockets:

First thing that popped up when I "Googled". Price, quality and USA made, can't beat that. Minimum order 2! There are plenty of USA made products, you just have to use a little effort and look. I try my hardest to do that. I also have no problems buying Canadian products as we are all North Americans. No doubt it is not always easy to do. As a side note, the plates on our DD's say "BUY-USA" and "BUY-US". Tom C.

I spent about 20-30 minutes that I didn't have, checked out a half dozen sites or more, and didn't find the deal you found. We obviously used different search keywords and must have gotten different results. Simple as that. That said, as predicted, those shirts are still well more than double what I can get them for, and I don't have to pay any shipping. It's good to see that with a little effort and looking, it may be a viable option, and I'm happy to work with Mike to make it happen if that's the direction WE decide to go in. If not, as stated, you're always welcome to buy one yourself and ship it to me, and I'll press yours for you with the same artwork as the rest - and you can pick it up in your individually labeled bag at the fest. I also really dig that flame shirt, but without seeing it or being able to test the material that it's made out of, I'm not comfortable putting any significant amount of heat to it. I press the 50/50 T shirts at about 350 degrees, and I know that none of my shirts like that one would live at those temperatures without significant damage, if not completely ruining the garment. As far as trying to provide a more dress casaul, non-Tshirt option for those who want to church it up a bit, I'm also working on that too. If someone could put forth a little effort and look and locate an affordable polo shirt wholesaler, I have a local guy that does great embroidery work and I'm working with him to provide a simple, left chest pocket area design option to offer as well. If someone else wants to trailer park it up a bit and have the logos put on a wife beater, I'll do that too. Workin on it, John

John, you need to look a little further back on my postings. I placed the link for the USA made t-shirt company, just the link for whoever wanted to look at it. I made no other comment. Then Justin posted and said "nice find" and I explained how I find USA made products. I also said it was not always easy to do. It definitely takes time and effort, as it is an uphill battle. John, of all people, you should understand how important it is to buy USA products. Flint which at one time was a giant in the auto is industry is now a shell of it's former self. Gone is Buick city, maybe just the bus plant survives, I'm not sure. I'm also guessing, the good job that you had for many years and supported your family was in the auto industry and went overseas as well. That's not good. Although your not on my speed dial (nor am I on yours), I have never disliked you. You have to loose that paranoia, I definitely see things different though. But that's OK. I can only speak for myself, but I don't think anyone is looking for you to buy a sub $3 t-shirt, if it cost you 1/2 of what the USA ones cost as you said. Tom C.

| Ok, hide the kids and Tim.
Who are you kidding Tom? You've never disliked me? Spare me. Stop being a gutless old chicken ****, stop trying to revise history, and just admit it. You've proven to dislike me repeatedly and have even gone so far as to flat out tell me directly to NOT come to THIS wagonfest ( that you're only a GUEST at, btfw) because I wasn't welcome there since nobody liked me anyway.
I don't have an ounce of paranoia about anything about you, Tom. I couldn't care less about you or what you think about anything. I wipe my ass with you. I know what you are and you're an arrogant old asshole. You've been a complete asshole in the past, and you've done it to me directly, and you're doing it again.
It's not good enough for you to just plain help for the sake of helping or for the betterment of the group. It's not possible for you to go "Hey guys, GREAT NEWS! I think I might have the answer to our problem! Check this out!" You're the guy who - when I said I looked and couldn't find anything - posts ONLY a link, then later makes a comment like, "alls it took was a little effort and to look".
Like later declaring that "John, you of all people should understand XYZ". As much truth as there may be in your content - it will NEVER be ok for you to address me about what I SHOULD understand. I don't need, want, or seek your approval for anything, ever, and I sure as hell don't need a parental toned lecture based on your admitted guesses. I will remind you AGAIN, hopefully for the last time, that I have a Dad and it's thankfully not you.
So it's things like that, Tom, that - right, wrong, or otherwise - have earned you zero benefit of my doubt and even less of my respect. Because of your history with me, anytime you type something that could go either way with someone else, it doesn't with you. Your unnecessary and snide comments about effort validate that you're an asshole, your inappropriate opinion yourself as someone who is in a position to tell me what I SHOULD understand - and your going so far as to disinvite ANYONE from any event that you're nothing but a GUEST at validates your epic arrogance, and your typing of things that you'd not not ever have the balls to say to my face and also the flat out LIE that you've never disliked me validates that you're a gutless chicken ****, and your pants are on fire.
So in the future, if you see my type something like, "I really don't appreciate it", just know that to be the friendly version of something much less friendly. And also, if you could put forth a little effort and be honest, not arrogant, not an asshole, and not a gutless chicken **** - we'd probably get along much better and I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for the link, I hope you enjoy your shirt, and I'll see you at the fest (You know, the one in NY, that I'm welcome at, because I have friends there).
Thanks in advance. Your Pal, John

| I just wanted to take a moment to update the progress of this project per my recent conversation with Mike. Here's the details we've worked out. 1. The shirts will be the same price as in years past - whatever that was, and it wasn't $20. 2. Unless you purchase your own shirt with your own money and mail it to me to do the work on, you're going to get what we give you and like it. 3. Unless you purchase your own shirt with your own money and mail it to me to do the work on, you forfeit the right to bitch about where it's made. Period. I'm done with the BS and drama, and you all now know exactly where to get one that's made in the USA if it's that dang important to you that a wagonfest shirt is that way. 4. These details are not negotiable, they are not up for debate, and they are not up for discussion. 5. There is still some wiggle room for design and colors discussion though, so I can't help but to ask if you guys would wear a shirt with something like this on the back: (forgive the pixelation) I already pressed this design in white on a gray shirt, and I'd highly reccomend going with either a darker toned graphic or a darker color shirt. It was OK, but there just wasn't enough contrast for it to POP like white does on like a navy blue or dark green shirt. Let me know what you think about the graphic, or any changes that you'd like to see with it or the fonts. I'm commited to having these be cool, but not attached to my own work being the outcome. Thanks, John | |

| That shirt alone is almost enough to make me want to make the trek. Curse you, part time employment! |

| I'm an artist and would be glad to make a design. I tried to post this a minute ago, so forgive me if its a dup, I'm not seeing it here. Its not wagonfest specific but I already have this design BEWBz can use. I can tweek the text easily. post your ideas thoughts. Given time this weekend I could come up with something fresh. Maybe RatFink Style hotrod beast? Here's a logo I made for my own business. Maybe something fun along these lines? I would say, people are free to toss out ideas, if I like one and want to try to make it I will. I'm westcoast so my best hope of WagonFest 11 is if the original decides to give it a go out here. | |
